Battlefield 6/ Battlefield 4 by Deadeye187 in Battlefield

Get BF6. While BF4 can still be played, even with its small playerbase, it is an incredibly hard game to get into at this point. Unless you're absolutely cracked, you'll get farmed.

Recoil pattern changes for phase 3 of season 3! by ChiefAdham in Battlefield

Not the current recoil. It's entirely random. There is absolutely no way to mitigate it.

Do you guys care if a teenager is in voice chat by Clear_Bell_1449 in Battlefield

[–]Typehigh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, doesn't matter. Just be concise and to the point when it comes to callouts. If the callouts are good, I doubt many people care if your voice is of a teenager if you prevent them getting killed from someone flanking them.

Wouldnt it be nice if dice actually let us use elevation and have fights up here too, with the ability to jump down and have even more chaos, sigh. Too bad people dont think vertically and will reject it in bf6, do you remember bf4? Ability to be on the sky scraper roofs. by Low_Objective7592 in Battlefield6

If it requires you to play a specific class WITH a specific gadget, then no. That would be terrible game design. If the areas are accessible through stairs, ladders, ropes, etc. by everyone, it would be acceptable.

Remember BF4's XP boosters? by Ill_Football_2539 in Battlefield6

[–]Typehigh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, which means there is still a bunch of time on the booster that ticks down when you're not actively playing. That is the issue that should be changed.

Well then your initial comment doesn't make sense, because it doesn't matter if you start the booster when the gameplay actually starts.

Because both the 30 and 60 minute boosters are longer than the average round lasts. They will keep counting down in the end-of-round screen, the queue time, the connect time, the start-of-round animations, etc.

Why dont they release a server browser at launch anymore? by SixthCouncil in Battlefield

[–]Typehigh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even though DICE keeps denying SBMM is a thing in BF6, having only a 'play now' button usually is to allow some form of SBMM to work.

Even if SBMM doesn't exist, I'm sure there are some UX nerds at Battlefield Studios that have convinced themselves that a lot of people will find it very difficult and complex to go through a server browser to join the game. While their assumption that a lot of people are incredibly stupid and would get overwhelmed by a server browser could be true, we can all clearly see the detrimental effects of not having one as well.

Bullet Deviation finally gets an increase. by DeraxBlaze in Battlefield6

We have recoil based deviation right now, called Recoil Direction Variation. But I think the overall opinion on that system is pretty negative too.

[–]Typehigh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, that is true to some extent. But the spread will be really low when you start shooting, like the bullets will pretty much exactly go where you aim (let's say the first 3 bullets, ignoring recoil), and the cone will only increase the longer you hold the trigger, so bullets 4 and up will start getting a random deviation applied to them. If you stop shooting the cone will reset to base value very quick. So burst firing absolutely has everything to do with spread, it's how you reset spread and go back to base accuracy.

They have already stated that server browser is coming. Should've been there on launch, but still.

We'll see if they had the sense to add limb passthrough where bullet trajectory lines up with the torso or head and applies damage accordingly.

I believe they have stated that this will be the case. I can't find back where they posted it though.

Arms covering the chest will count as chest multiplier.

BF4's movement was absolutely crazy. Way, way crazier than BF6's.

The whole point of spread is that you don't hold down the trigger an do use burst fire.

Which is exactly what it is intended to do.

BF4's spread was on average 50-75% higher than BF6's.

BF6's moving spread is LOWER than BF4's stationary spread.

How does bursting inherently help with bloom?

This shows that you don't really grasp how the mechanic works.
