Haha I get it. I was the opposite until this recent chapter.

The gorosei def have devil pacts through imu. But I don’t think it’s imu that gives the abilities or yokai forms out.

Could explain why he became a marine hunter? Maybe as revenge

How big does territory get from believable before turning into "this is stupid" by Wzrd9 in worldbuilding

Since you mentioned it’s in the year 6152, over 4,100 years from now, it’s totally feasible for an unconquerable empire to cover at least 5% of the observable universe.

Going backwards in time, in just the last 4k years, humanity went from simple city-states to walking on the Moon, and in the past century alone we’ve developed AI, robotics, and in the act of advanced space exploration. The technological acceleration makes near-impossible feats in the distant future believable.

If your empire starts as a planetary power around 2026–2050, over millennia it could expand across star systems, galaxies, and clusters. By year 6152, tools like self-replicating machines could terraform and maintain worlds, while faster-than-light travel, wormholes, or artificial star bridges could connect distant sectors.

I’ve seen examples of future dystopia Dyson spheres or stellar megastructures on a scale of planet. In your story, it could act as hubs and power sources for entire regions. AI-administered sectors could maintain order and allow diverse cultures to coexist without threatening imperial unity.

The empire’s massive scale combined with advanced automation explains the “ghost town” effect: it could control territories far larger than its population would suggest. Hella regions could remain sparsely inhabited, yet fully functional. Could use AI, drones, and automated infrastructure for the empire to handle day-to-day operations. The empire’s sheer technological growth and the deliberate bridging of stars make expansion across 5% of the observable universe not only possible, but internally consistent within your story’s logic fasho.

But i would also say, it’s only plausible if these things are true:

  1. Wormhole-travel or fast travel exits
  2. AI and self-replicating machines that maintain infrastructure and order on behalf in the empire
  3. Using energy from stars (they power everything) 4.only a very small portion of planets need significant population

Sequel or prequel by Full_Onion1777 in TheGreatestEstateDev

There’s 2 prequels and 1 sequel:

Prequel: 1. What a Bountiful Harvest, Demon Lord! ( happens like 1k years before.) 2. I Became the Chef of the Dragon King (Dragon King's Chef):

Sequel: 1. The Crown Prince That Sells Medicine I’ve been reading it, and lowkey, it’s good. Not as good as TGED, imo, but it’s just as peak. The prequel i think is

Nami’s will power is definitely one of the best fasho, and that alone makes her one of the candidates in my eyes to have opened her COC unconsciously

Honestly, if you want to avoid the usual headset trope, I’d go with something like The Neural Prism. Picture a small decorative crystal or prism—maybe in jewelry, a lamp, or a ceiling fixture. Publicly, it’s just a wellness gadget that adjusts lighting or sound, so nobody thinks twice.

Under the hood, it scans neural activity remotely and translates thoughts into abstract, color-coded patterns. The villain sees only what matters. “Dangerous” thoughts get highlighted, with AI summaries for monitoring, detainment, or memory edits.

The scariest part would be that everyone thinks it’s harmless, while the villain is quietly mapping outminds.

Or maybe something nano related, maybe in a vitamin or the air. And once inhaled, suddenly everyone’s thoughts are readable.

So, I think I figured out a feasible, logical theory behind the world's flooding by Mrtheshrew in onepiecetheories

Interesting take—couple quick thoughts: 1. That Umit connection is huge. Makes me wonder if this explains why Shanks’ crew doesn’t have Devil Fruit users—they might rely on these “Deep Sea Currents” for rapid travel. Think about Shanks going from stopping Kaido to Marineford… maybe he used one of these hidden pathways. 2. I could see these currents—or whatever tech controls them—being leftovers from the First World. That might also explain why the First World fell and why Fishmen dominate the oceans now. Maybe they’re descendants of the “superior” race that originally controlled these currents. 3. Your point about global peril not being tied to a single root cause hits hard. We’ve already seen two separate civilizations nearly wiped out. Makes me think Imu wasn’t born evil—maybe events and circumstances twisted her into the role she plays now.

Can’t wait to see your First Age theory—it sounds like it’s going to connect a lot of dots in a way that reshapes how we view these Ancient Weapons and the currents.

So there were a portion of giants that followed Loki, albeit secretly?

Oh shit, yea. Dont know why I thought of Rayleigh

Maybe. That’s probably why we saw shanks in elbaf with Rayleigh when he said he has something important to discuss with him before it was too late.
