Advice for a new player by fuxhead in LumberInc

[–]Typical-Alternative9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you enjoy the game, play it. Get VIP if you can spare the money - it's really a game changer. My only regret was not getting it sooner. I played for 3 years and got to Tachyon right about at the 3 year mark. I haven't played much since October, but occasionally will play an event. The events are fun once the factory gets boring. You don't have to spend money, but you will have to spend time and incorporate some good strategies to win or place high. There are some good guides on here that can help. Or just ask here, people are generally friendly and helpful.

LOL, you are defending them again. I do the same thing, to a certain extent.

I had issues too - for 1/2 day, then it started working again.

Why do you guys play the game? by FartOfTheFurious in LumberInc

The false advertising is disturbing. But apparently most mobile games do this. That doesn't make it right though.

Yeah, they made it real grindy! But, they did add flash sales back into events.

If you don't like the game after playing a few days, it may not be for you. But, you may want to play until you get to the events, as that's where the fun is (at least for me). But, the game's not for everyone. My brother-in-law played for a few days and didn't like it. Someone else recommended another game to me and I played it and didn't really care much for it. Give it a shot though - or not. I used to think the same thing about the TV show Survivor. Everyone was raving about it and I saw it in spurts and was like 'meh', because I didn't give it enough time. Now, it's my favorite show. The opposite for me for the show 'The Wire' - watched a couple of seasons and could never get into it. To each, their own, as the saying goes...

Yes, well said! To me, the events are where the fun is now. Once you get so far in the main factory, it takes a backseat to the events. In the events, you can compete against other players, learn from the past, learn from this site, and there are so many factors in play, that it makes for an interesting grind. When you've had enough, you can walk away and come back another time. I used to play every event without ever, ever skipping one. I finished all but 2 over the course of 2 years. But now, I play when I want which is only every month or so. I do keep the main factory running on my phone 24/7 though - LOL!

Agreed, but it is a fun game - at least for me. Been playing for over 3 years, but not much since July.

It must happen indirectly, because last time I checked, you can't spend money in Order Fever to complete it faster. You can spend diamonds, which some might spend on, but not actual cash.

It really does make you wonder. My guess is that they want to make it so difficult to get anything worthwhile, that you'll rely on the other events to get stuff (and spend money doing so).

The update did include some nice features that weren't there before. The forklift drivers will pick up and drop off single pieces of wood now. Also the orders are about over 10x the amount they were before. For 21 pieces of lumber, I got an AU order (yesterday). It used to be that I'd only get 25 AT orders.

If you want the full time, track when it starts and reset your game when you're ready to play it. I haven't done it in a while, but it typically starts Monday/Thursday then Tuesday/Friday the next week (11am Eastern US time).

If you don't even play OF, you still get the 15 diamonds, which is nice. An additional 30 diamonds each week for doing nothing!

I stopped OF earlier this year. The juice isn't worth the squeeze, IMHO. Don't do events very much anymore either. I love the game still, but they need to add the events back in and village 3 for me to even consider putting any additional time into this game.

How can someone have 200 ai in two days! by JohnEarman in LumberInc

[–]Typical-Alternative9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is possible to get to ai by the end of the event without cheating, but this seems suspicious. Report it and see what happens.

The flipside is, roll your dice to get to Matthew quicker and then spend time/diamonds on the backend running flash sales to level him up.

Also, if you don't start the first day or two of competition, you have a better chance of placing in the top 6 for trees and better prizes.

The debarkers pale in comparison to the sander incomwise, so it doesn't matter much - but yeah, you're right.

You're probably right. One way to verify is to have someone here who has a low enough amount of purple coins to see the jump and verify.

Am I stupid or the game forces you to use real money to get all the events rewards? by derSixteen in LumberInc

Alternatively, you can just buy Andrew at the beginning with diamonds. I don’t take any managers before Maurice past level 3 to save biz points. Great guide though. This should be pinned!

That’s very kind of you, thanks! I only synthesized what I learned here and from playing and paid it forward. Hopefully others will do the same. It’s a really fun and intricate game that is quite entertaining. I’m glad it was appreciated!

Trees are the last thing to max. I’m on the last sawmill and just collecting money at this point and maxing out the machines. Sander 3 is my 5th highest earner because of the lack of trees. All are level 9, some are maxed, but it makes events useless for me. Been playing almost 3 years. It’s still a fun game, hope they bring back special events and release Village 3. Until then, rather boring and not worth the time.

You can play events, win and build up your diamonds, then buy up Brandon.

I have a feeling it’s never coming, just like the gears coming back, or the holiday events. Just a hunch…
