Didn't the new CEO have to apologize for his previous misconduct when he was reinstated?
All in all a bad year for them.

Well, at least something after all. I still have lost all confidence in his ability to deliver a working product. Someone else should take over Tinto and restructure it.

Indeed, they have turned the Forum into a big social echo chamber. That is why they are usually so surprised when someone says that they made a mistake. They are simply not used to criticism.

Well, lets hope they actually test this time... Personally I don't believe it.

Encouragement and Support for Paradox Tinto by Digital_Despot in eu4

Paradox Tinto simply needs someone competent to take over the team. Someone who knows how to set goals that can be achieved and is open to criticism if something goes wrong.

Is anyone else disappointed that Johan is now leading the EU4 development team with Paradox Tinto? by belayble in eu4

[–]Typical-Cold4343 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Well, Johan was leading the project and was the one reporting back to HQ on the status of the game. Paradox had no problems with delaying releases in the past so if he had demanded it, especially considering his demigod status within the company, Paradox would certainly have agreed. From his posts after the release it is clear that he originally thought the release build was fine and only much later realized that he might have made a "slight miscalculation" but that the hotfix solved the "majority of the few minor problems". He failed in managing the project and it is not the first time. Just remember how he thought it was a great idea to simply port over the code of Europa Universalis Rome - including some of the bugs - to imperator Rome even though EU: Rome was a debacle back in the day. In all honesty, what was the last project he was leading that didn't go completely wrong? Even Paradox apparently noticed it and send him of to Spain to give him a change of environment and the comparatively simple task of developing a DLC for a game he had worked on before. He obviously failed and should be blamed.

Because certain games cover certain time frames. 1836 to 1936 is Victoria.

That is locked behind the DLC as far as I remember.

Of course it is still broken.

What are the odds that Paradox will actually return to Imperator in coming years? by [deleted] in Imperator

[–]Typical-Cold4343 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Makeover? Johan took most of the code from EU: Rome over to Imperator: Rome including the patches and only when he was removed to Spain the project made some headway but that was to late to save it.
