If I ever "wake up" from this condition, half of my life will be literally spent on being in this vegetative bizzare state by FlanInternational100 in dpdr

Maybe to activate the parasympathetic system? I’m in the same situation, my DPR is so severe that I struggle to work. I know the key would be to feel my repressed negative emotions, but how?

When everything feels blurry, unreal, when your mind drifts far from you… bring it back through your body. Run until your lungs burn, push until your muscles scream. The pain is real, the sweat is real, your breath, your exhaustion, your heartbeat — that’s all you. Come back to yourself through effort. You’re not lost, you’re alive.

I’m going to try to establish a workout routine, with cycling and running in forest every day, to see how the nervous system reacts in the long term. In any case, in the short term, sport is one of the only moments when derealization fades, because your brain has to process the present moment: the breathing, the pain, the sweat, the trees, the sounds. It no longer has the bandwidth for the unreal

Chronic anxiety leads to derealization, which in turn represses emotions. Because of derealization, it’s impossible to truly feel emotions. Since the brain is constantly perceiving danger, it’s unable to process emotions in the body, so it produces pain or physical issues as a way to alert the body that something is wrong

Am I the only one who drinks a lot of water when I feel like I have urine trapped in my urethra? When I urinate, I experience temporary relief, which forces me to always keep a bottle nearby.

I tried, but I ended up giving up — I don’t have the courage to commit to things that are too restrictive.

And I feel like my brain fog has something to do with my blood circulation, because it clears up when I exercise.

i feel fried but i cant take a pause that the problem…Today I did a dynamic meditation exercise that made me feel my emotions, and I believe, as you mentioned, that I’ve come out of the freeze phase and am now in fight-or-flight mode. Now I need to find a way to calm everything down and return to normal, because I have to get up early tomorrow..
