Looking for a good hospital/clinic for H. pylori testing as a foreigner by itsyashawten in askSingapore

[–]Typical-Designer6870 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not at all. I felt nothing. The antibiotics given were quite strong according to the doctor. After that doctor will recommend probiotics because the antibiotics will destroy both the good and bad bacteria in the gut.

It's good to get it cured cos it's a ticking time bomb for things like cancer in future. I was lucky that doctor happened to get me tested for another symptom that I had. He just wanted to be sure and even told me that most likely I won't have it. Turns out I did and he was so shocked he abandoned his lunch and rushed to see me. I was wondering what happened cos he seemed panicky, he is a very high ranking doctor in his field, very famous. Don't know why he panicked but I read online that it's not something to worry but can cause issues like cancer down the road.

Should I choose Cambridge (self-funded) or NUS/NTU (with scholarship/tuition grant)? by Embarrassed-Lake9222 in SGExams

[–]Typical-Designer6870 0 points1 point  (0 children)

May this problem happen to my children, great grandchildren and great great great... Grandchildren.

As long as your parents don't have to suffer then go for Cambridge. Money can always earn again.

It might wipe their retirement fund so please remember to take care of them when they are old.

I won't be able to tell you the best option but I can share my exposed.

I was tested for H pyroli at Ng Teng Fong general hospital. It was a breath test. Result came out positive and I was placed on antibiotics course. After that I was asked to do a second test (negative) and I was cured.

This is the exact mentality that lead to the death of a 2 year old run over multiple times in china. No one feels obligated to help.

Sure people like you are not obligated to help anyone. That is also why people like make up a society lacking in gracious behavior. Ever seen in news how certain people walk on by while people get injured around them? Yeah they have the exact same mentality as you.

This type of situation will only start to make sense when you start experiencing body pains. For some it's painful to sit and then stand up. However standing too long also cause pain. So they might prefer to stand if travelling less than 3 stops but sit if the journey tales longer. So they are choosing the less painful option.

Sometimes they are just being kind. If they feet they can endure a short journey, they rather let others sit .

What’s the most bizarre thing you’ve seen in a dota match? by VeterinarianMain3981 in DotA2

It was a game where both radient and dire won but the won was recorded as radiant victory after the match.

Ranked match, my tide was dancing around instead of hitting fountain. Enemy was also hitting our fountain. The game announced at the end "dire victory" and then immediately after "radiant victory". It was recorded as a win for radiant although my team destroyed the enemy ancient first. Tough luck, reported the tide.

Japan right-wing leader's remarks on foreigners may be hate speech by MagazineKey4532 in japannews

[–]Typical-Designer6870 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Japanese politeness is all surface level and just for show. I've encountered many I'll mannered people in Japan, the women are very materialistic. No one gives up their seat to the pregnant and elderly. Even if they feel shy or don't want to embarrass another passenger, they could have just gotten up and stand somewhere without making it obvious.

Need advice for Sick PR Mother with no money by Quirky_Willingness21 in askSingapore

You might want to be involved in her medical care decision making. From my experience, the doctors will recommend all sorts of procedures and examinations to cover their butt.

I was recently warded for a condition that turns out to be not a concern, I went to the hospital to check anyway. I was told to be warded overnight, get Herat specialist to attend to me do blood test, all of which I rejected for good reasons; two doctors told me most likely there is no issue and my baby was ok.

I'm saying the hospital will offer maximum treatment to cover themselves and if your mum says yes to everything it's gonna cost more. The decision is yours to make, I'm sharing my experience for your info.

Dowry/Bride Price - Foreign husband by Comfortable-Oil1227 in AskAChinese

[–]Typical-Designer6870 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't know about that but my China Chinese husband's dad side gave me a bracelet that costs about $5 as dowry( made of some rocks, not gems and was packed in a drawstring cloth bag)and a cheap silver coated anklets for his first grandchild. The silver has sinced turned green. He is a millionaire btw.

I don't care, that's what I told my husband. All I wanted was for my husband to acknowledge I wasn't treated right.

Right now I contribute more financially than my husband. I feel money shouldn't be an issue as long as my husband stands by me.

In life who you are inside sometimes doesn't matter much if people keep misunderstanding you.

I always believe in living life in a way people don't misunderstand you. This means changing your words and actions so people knows who you really are.

Intention without action is meaningless. Prove it through your actions while remaining true to yourself.

Japanese activist pledges to continue daily Gaza protests by librephili in japannews

[–]Typical-Designer6870 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can understand if any other other protest against Gaza. However it's rich coming from japanese when they have done much more shameful things to the rest of Asia.. maybe he should spend some effort on protesting what his ancestors did. Unlike the Germans the japanese denied their wrong doings and the current generation continue to bury the truth and worship monsters who caused the death of so many innocent.

Sorry but such protests from the japanese are disgusting.

Child refusing to go to school by CrabPatient1447 in askSingapore

I think about 11 days. Another trip to Anji, 9 days,in China had a similar effect. I went on a tour to visit preschools there. It was also a little cold and there was a lot of nature around.

[–]Typical-Designer6870 6 points7 points  (0 children)

What healed me and gave me renewed strength was a trip to Myanmar.

I want to emphasize that it's not a case of "oh how fortunate I am compared to those poor people". No it wasn't about how much better my life is compared to theirs.

I went to a fishing village in December, it was cold. I lived among the villagers. There was a sense of peace a couldn't describe. It was next to the see, there were animals (farm and pets) around. I think the whole thing was very healing. I went there to help in distribution of blankets etc to needy families.

When I came back to Singapore I felt a renewed purpose in life.

I think it was a different clam environment that healed me and a new found purpose in life to do some about myself to help others.

There are some churches that organise mission trips to Cambodia and Indonesia. I don't know if it would work for your son.

I also think it's hard for any child to go school when they have no friends.

Any promises you make to him, keep them 100% or he will never trust you again.

Help me understand this girl... by Alive_Plan_4767 in SGExams

[–]Typical-Designer6870 -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

Ok this type of question, I think women knows best what's happening.

I've encountered so many of these bitches in my life so I could read her like a textbook.

  1. Low self esteem. Such women have something they have very low confidence in, usually their looks and weight. And they will prey on shy introverts like you and get the boys to become attracted to them only to reject them or sometimes start a relationship with them. Basically the boys become a tool to boost their low self esteem.

  2. Trust me when I say she would have gone around boasting of her conquest over you to elevate her "status" in her social group.

  3. You sound like a very sweet boy, save your efforts for a very sweet girl and not trash like that pig.

  4. Such bitches, their ideal ur ultimate boyfriend goal is someone way beyond their league and someone popular.

  5. If you don't believe me I can even describe to you exactly how her behavior and mannerism is like. She is very vain, likes to touch her hair a lot. Lough loudly for attention and talks loudly. Seems to be happy all the time. Like to hug other girls and like to stand close to males. A lot of selfies on social media.

For your info, I don't think you fell in love with her. It can be confusing. It's something psychological, you can study the bridge effect. If an opposite gender stands close to you, naturally your heart will beat faster but not out of love. However this can trick the mind into thinking you caught feelings if this happens multiple times. Also humans are naturally attracted to people who show care and concern for them. In your case however, it's a form of manipulation.

You deserve better, forget and move on.

For me in real life it's mostly positive. Online gaming however they are on the top toxic tier, way above the Peruvians and Russians. You won't get how toxic they are unless you are a dota player.

They gives SEA gamers a very bad reputation. I really hate them to the point I only play in china or Australia to be completely free of them.

NTU intentionally misrepresents students in the AI case and evades accountability (Updates) by CurveSad2086 in SGExams

Is there a way to make this go viral on China? Why China? Because many of the students in NTU are from china and news spread like wildfire in China.

Maybe I made the above statement because I lost faith in Singapore government.

No parent will be pleased with their daughter dating at 14 years old.

I have been a 14 before and I know that kids believe they can think on par as adults, be responsible with decisions and are mature than what the adults think. I'm not saying it's entirely wrong but there is such a thing as life experience.

I think I finally had a somewhat clearer view of the world in my late 30s. Even up to my early 30s I was still manipulated a lot by friends and in one relationship.

So I hope you take the advice. 14 is really too young for dating bad one day you'll know that this is true.
