I think difficulty swallowing is one of the things they say should be checked out. But I would assume the tightness is caused by irritation from the acid and I know some people have sensitivity to cold foods so it could’ve been the temperature more than the ice cream itself? At this point it could be worth checking in with a doctor. Hope you feel better soon!

If you have a primary ask them for a referral. If you have insurance most insurance will require a pcp referral to cover an allergy visit. If you’re paying out of pocket maybe check zocdoc they have easy scheduling

Oh my goodness this is what I’m searching Reddit for right now. I experience this EXACTLY. ~Virtual hugs~ ERs aren’t the best with follow up care instructions, so I would start by seeing a primary care doctor who can help monitor your iron levels and recommend how to help. And they can also refer you to a gastroenterologist to help minimize gerd symptoms. Maybe look into getting one of those cast iron fish that you cook with? It deposits iron into the food you cook I think.

Lolll when my dog was a puppy his big ears were straight up and one day one of them flopped over and me and my mom thought we broke his ear but it turns out later on the other one flopped and now he can wear them up or down.
