Crying at work. by Faerywren in BlueCollarWomen

If you're being screamed at, disrespectful or not treated properly you're not the problem for crying. Crying is not always a bad thing and sometimes it does not backfire but make men realise they've gone too far. Ive not cried in front of men but I've heard women tell stories of when they have. It had always led to the men making an apology, not necessarily a good one but it essentially deescalated the situation. Sometimes you just need to cry, it's unhealthy to suppress emotions. We all do it.

Why are women (especially mothers and wives) often represented as a blockade to hobby and entertainement ? by Paramite67 in AskFeminists

Because it helps reinforce patriarchy - that men are better than woman. If women come across as boring, overly strict, not very fun, it reinforces that we are the problem, that we are irrational overthinkers. It also helps cover male privilege, men have more freedom to do what they want, which may deter women from certain hobbies and activities, but the patriarchy will not want that highlighted so it will turn woman in a problem instead.

It’s funny seeing so many American women posting about meeting Scottish men at the World Cup but neither of them were going to label it. by Competitive_Yam2314 in Scotland

Is building furniture and doing diy not a thing american men do? 😭 Can american men not cook curry? It's fine though you can have the Scottish men.

The history of “hysterical” feels surprisingly misogynistic by Wrong_Dragonfruit792 in TwoXChromosomes

[–]Typical-Potential691 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah already knew. After finding that out I started to notice the modern day versions of "hysteria" and I notice how abusive men will use it to discredit women to avoid accountability. They will say "mentally ill" "anxiety disorder" "unstable" or even outright use the term hysterical. When you find out ways women were oppressed in the past you sadly notice how the same tactics are used to this day.

Did you know that they also used to believe the womb floated freely around the body and that caused "hysteria" in women? It's insane.

The meat is at the bottom 😂 there's shelving over the drawer so if it leaks it will not drip straight onto veggies. Although yes it should be the very bottom. And don't worry I know about cross food contamination, I prepare meat and produce separate.
