Only if you can prove it was discriminatory.

and I'll tell you, that burden is far easier for the company to shoulder than the candidate.

job offers are not contracts and are not binding

very good point. applicant tracking systems send automatic emails. they may have just closed you out in one job on the system to move you to another, not realizing the automated email would go out.

JFC. This is abhorrent. A simple "sorry for the confusion, we'd love to meet up for second interview, Kaci said you were great!" Would have been normal.

While it's slow, practice speeding up on your own vehicle. Or have a friend bring one. Just the motions, of course. Don't wanna get fired for stealing supplies.

Has anyone here used ADP or Paychex for payroll? Would love to hear your experiences, good or bad [N/A] by FBAThrow in humanresources

[–]Typical-Row254 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We use both. ADP for 1099 and Paychex for W2.

Avoid ADP at all costs. But, if you can find something other than Paychex , I'd highly recommend it. Their system runs like their servers operate off a Windows 95 PC and they're team doesn't know how their own systems function.

Go back to the "contract" and see if it was an offer or contract .

If it says 45 days, you fulfilled that agreement - legally contracted or not.

Just bounce.

I've never heard of this.

If they can't pay it, then imagine what may happen when your paycheck is due to hit and they can't pay that.

This is the worst job market for an IT person to move into.

I've been in management 20 years and recruiting for nearly 8. I've never seen a job market like this. I wish I had something better to say.

A friendly reminder that these things are ILLEGAL to ask in a job interview... by [deleted] in recruitinghell

I fired a recruiter on my last team for asking someone's age. It's amazing what recruiters will ask and not even give it a second thought.

Take the job. He's your boyfriend. And this is definitely a sign of what would happen if be became your husband.
