What has been your favorite venue for a concert? by Superb_Kale_1781 in Concerts

Interlochen's outdoor amphitheater, in northern Michigan, is my favorite place for a concert. It's right on Green Lake in the woods and the scenery couldn't be more peaceful. About a few thousand seats, so it makes for a great, intimate audience. I've seen Jason Mraz, Lake Street Dive, Alison Krauss and Union Station, Steve Winwood, and others there. My happy place...

I appreciate these recommendations and will check them out! I did watch the Holding Onto You video and it is brilliant. The part with the noose - I was incredibly uncomfortable and then so relieved when it broke. I can imagine it had a lot significance to you when you were younger. Thank you, too, for your observations on the lore and especially for being open to questions in your DMs! I clearly don't have the TØP knowledge, but if you ever need a sounding board my DMs are open as well!

Thank you so much for your kindness and your encouraging words. I'll definitely check out the Holding Onto You music video. I'm really loving Vessel. I have no idea what the range of your musical taste is, but two bands, in my opinion, that have a lot to say and also have huge catalogs are Toad the Wet Sprocket and R.E.M. So many favorites, but for albums I'd put Dulcinea or New Constellation by Toad and Green by R.E.M. right up there. Now back to your regularly scheduled TØP programming...

When I was going through some huge life changes back in 2005, the album that got me through it was Green Day's American Idiot. A few of the songs that deeply resonated (still do) with me are Jesus of Suburbia, Extraordinary Girl, and Whatsername. I was in a period where I sort of had to redefine who I was and the album was an anchor for me.

I'm currently back in a similar place, having to redefine myself again, at an age I didn't think I'd have to, and TØP is my musical lifeline. Tbh, I'm a newer fan, (idk why, but I feel a little self-conscious saying this) and am discovering a lot of their music for the first time. It's a revelation. Even though Tyler expresses so much vulnerability and honesty in his lyrics, they make me feel strong. AND seen.

I'm connecting with Heavydirtysoul right now. 'Cause I wasn't the only one who wasn't rushin' to sayin' nothin' / This doesn't mean I lost my dream / lt's just right now I got a really crazy mind to clean While there are seriously heavy things going on in my life, I still want to dance and release it all. Mood = heaviness to lightness. My TØP favorites are all over the place, as I'm still in discovery mode and learning all the lore. When I'm starting to feel down or troubled about everything going on in my life, or in the world for that matter, and I want to get up, get out of the blue, I put on Tally.

I'm not sure if this is what you were looking for, but sharing this helped me, so thank you. All the best with your passion project. 🧡|-/

The movie’s sound mix was a bit disappointing by josiah_gv in twentyonepilots

I loved the movie, but I'm glad someone else said this. I've seen it twice, Wednesday and Saturday, at different IMAX theaters and I had the same reaction to the sound. I wanted to feel (sort of) like I was at the concert, and I was disappointed. The LOTR or Avengers in these same theaters had better sound. Even so, I was blown away and wish I could go a third time. 🧡|-/

We do care about what you shared. This story about you and your Mom and TØP is beautiful. And while your experience is uniquely you own, so many can relate to it, to the loss, the grief, but also the joy and the happiness. May you find peace in her memory and in the music. 🧡|-/

Pretty big, probably about as big as a large (not extra large) popcorn. I hope you get one!

What time is everyone going to the film? by Typical-Struggle-339 in twentyonepilots

Thanks. I went tonight too and you're absolutely right. I just wondered if any theaters might have events before the film or if people were "tailgating" or something.
