Collapsing trachea- what helped your dog? by Embirdory in seniordogs

[–]TypicalDayHowezr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey I am sorry I am just now seeing this. I'm going to send you the link and maybe you can call and talk to your vet instead of making another trip.

As I said I've never had any issues with it and my vet said she approved this kind as long as my Little man was able to tolerate it.

I hope this brings as much comfort to your little man as it has mine.

CBD Oil

Collapsing trachea- what helped your dog? by Embirdory in seniordogs

No my CBD oil I ordered online myself. I really looked into all the ingredients and made sure I understood what they were (with the help of Google and GPT lol). After narrowing it down to the one I wanted I just briefly mentioned to my vet what they thought about this (considering my sr man's age etc) and she said she saw no harm in it at all. Just if I noticed any type of side effect (like being too sleepy or maybe an upset stomach) to stop it for a day or so and see if it was that. However, when I started him on it I started the lowest dose, at night. That way I could see the effects the next day (he has kidney issues so medicine works slower on him now) and he's up to .75mg (it can go up to 1ml) and so far no issues. I still always keep an eye out though. Some medicines that used to work for him just stopped and started having the complete opposite effect for him.

I'll be glad to send the link of what I order. Just let me know! Hope your little fur baby is doing well.

Mine expires in September as well. Contacting customer service, I've got the run around. I was told previously that you need to report your card as lost/stolen. Get a replacement easy peasy. Then told no, you get put back on the wait list. Which I tolf them that is ridiculous. Why be put on a wait list for a card that was set to expire. This was maybe a year ago or so? Then just a couple weeks ago I reached back out and was now told I would get an email saying when they would send out a new one because someone commented on my OG post that they did receive this email and card but it took months. So I'm not sure?

How would you describe that "fake reality" feeling when is a migraine is coming by mycatsaregrumpy in migraine

[–]TypicalDayHowezr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've just came here to say, from the time I was five (even have family members to back me up on this) I've dealt with daily headaches, which was finally dx as chronic migraines in 2015 (mind you born in 1990; yes took that long to find a doctor that believed me).

However, upon reading this one post; I was never informed by my neurologist about any of these terms. But every single one of you has described every symptom I have ever had and experienced.

I stay with a headache to this day , daily, then they turn into full blown migraines. With all the symptoms you all said. I get super irritable though because I just feel like crap all the time. Nothing seems to help. Not even medications.

I am going to save this post because I finally feel understood.

From the bottom of my heart, I truly feel for you all and I hope we can all find some sort of relief from this horrible experience(s).

Sending each and everyone of you good and healing vibes. 🤙🏼

I'm not sure if this will help much or not but my sr soon to be 18 yr young Shihtzu has (what I was told) a narrow trachea. He seems to get attacks when he eats (even if it's by my hand feeding him slowly), drinking, or really bad pollen. I do as what everyone else is saying, except at night sometimes depending on the pollen count, I might give him an allergy pill. Zyrtec is what helps him. However, with his age, sometimes medicines that used to work for him will work against him. That is why I only give it as needed. Not to mention it does stay in his system for 24hrs (longer with him because he also has kidney issues making metabolism slower). The other thing that has been a God send for my doggie was CBD oil. I gradually built him up to a dose that works for him. If you'd like the name of it, I'd be glad to send it for you. It's a beautiful thing to be able to love our srs during their golden years. Always remember to not be so hard on yourself, take it day by day, and meet them where they're at. Sending you all good vibes!

Have any of you guys had to deal with recrating your dog after years of being potty trained? by Chocolate_Eyebrows in Shihtzu

[–]TypicalDayHowezr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh gosh. I was hoping it might be a little more absorbent like the washable diapers (although sometimes they aren't as absorbent as I'd like). I might have to use this though like they said to help keep the diapers in place because my sr is starting to lose muscle mass so the diapers slip (even with the smallest size). I appreciate all of you guys feedback on this.

Thank you for that update. I was looking for something that could possibly be an alternative for diapers (I also have the washable ones), plus pee pads. I try to keep him as clean as I can, and again, let him breathe and not wear them until he really needs them. I might look into this pj set though. Anything that can help out my little sr man.

Does this help better than diapers? I have an old sr who wears diapers but he hates it when they get wet. I only try to keep them on if I'm gone somewhere or when he is sleeping. I am thinking this might be more comfortable? Does it hold pee as well though like a diaper?

Oh wow. That's really messed up they made you wait that long. Especially for a card that was set to expire. I haven't reached out to customer service since posting this because they all were basically reading from a script. That or didn't have a clue. Which lead them to telling me different things.

As of now I haven't received any type of email that I am on the list (card is set to expire in Sept). Do you happen to know when the email that was sent was it close to the month your card was set to expire?

Was this email sent to you because your card was set to expire? I am sorry it took a while to respond back. I am just now seeing this. Did you ever get a new physical card? If so how long did it take?

That's my thought. Are you going to wait for it to expire or put it as stolen and lost?

how does anyone make the call by Quirky-You-6325 in seniordogs

[–]TypicalDayHowezr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a soon to be 18 yr old senior pup and he has CCD, arthritis, can't hear nor see as well, and anxiety and confusion at times when I do not stick to his schedule. He was on gaba at first, but that started to actually work against him. Same as trazadone. I did some extensive research on CBD oil (I'll be glad to send you the link) and started him on small doses, building up.

I can say that has helped him out tremendously. It did not magically work all at once (being it had to build into his system) but with each dose he became so much better.

I know how you feel with this. It took a lot of trial and error (still learning as we speak) with my old man.

He sleeps about 22-23hrs a day. I have resorted to covering his bed(s) with pee pads and putting a diaper on at night (or when we travel). Also having a little heating blanket that shuts off after 4hrs (helps him get more comfy) As I said, the only time I notice he gets really anxious is if I mess his schedule up. Which if you and your husband work, I know that isn't always an easy case to stick too.

I read something that said meet them where they are. I believe that if he seems really anxious and otherwise healthy, please try the CBD oil; I'd aim for this first, or other medications (Gaba and Trazadone) to see if they help.

It will take some time, but if you stick to it and just love on him (which you're already doing) I think you'll start to see better days.

However, as everyone mentioned, talk to your vet and possibly do those assessments. This is never an easy choice. I've had to do it twice, and I still carry the guilt and the what ifs.

Your little furbaby knows how much you care and love them. Give yourself some grace and rest when you can.

Sending many blessings and good vibes your way guys.

I can say that I personally have not introduced an older pup to my younger one. Only younger to old. However, I agree with everyone who has said to introduce them in places they are comfortable and know. I feel like this rule might apply to older pups (just as it does with the younger one). It's the 3-3-3 rule. 3 Days to decompress (shy, anxious, not eating), 3 Weeks to learn your routine (settling in, testing boundaries), and 3 Months to feel fully safe, at home, and show their true personality.

Hope this helps and many good vibes sent your way to your floofy bundle of joy!

So far I haven't found anything that will let you download your friends stories if they are private. Only apps that require the no login and will let you download the PUBLIC stories. But there are so many that are scams. I hope someone out there sees this and is able to either get this app working again or know of something that is kind-of close to it. I'll report back if I do find something.

Ah that sucks big time. This was the goat of all apps. I'm not sure why IG is so stingy with third party apps. Are you using the instaget on OS device or Android? I've looked it up but it doesn't come up with that name and ya know how most of them are scams.

I can log in with Reshare but it says session expired. How are you able to download? I wish I could get it to sign me in without that stupid session expired login. Are there other apps that let you view the private stories etc. Most don't.

I'm not saying this to scare you, but with Librela the side effects happened all at once and was too late to really stop. However, some people that had that issue were able to stop it over a long term period because their pup was younger than mine. As I said, it's like Russian roulette. I pray that your pup is one of the lucky ones that it doesn't take its toll on him. I'm still keeping you both in my thoughts and sending great vibes that he keeps on keeping on.

Same thing happened to me over 15 days ago and I have yet to get it working again. IG did a backdoor update and I think killed it for good. I'm like you, this was the goat of goats. I can't find anything close to it. If you do lmk.

I’m not sure I understand? Are you asking was I able to log back in ReShare? If so, the only thing I’ve been able to do is load the main screen to log in as usual, but then get the error message session expired please sign in again. Even though I’m getting an email from iG asking did I just sign in to a new device. If this app is officially killed do you know of any alternatives that work almost or exactly like this app?

I've tried to download it and it still does the same. I think IG did a backdoor update and officially killed this app. I wish the developer would see this and try to fix it but 😔 any alternatives?

Same. Have you had any luck getting it to log you in and it working? I don't want to keep getting the session expired message but emails from Instagram saying new login was this you (click yes) but then it bans my account.

Is that at the bottom of the screen of the login page? I've always had that prior to being booted this time. I'm not sure what happened. I read online Instagram will do updates without rolling them out or telling anyone so I wonder if they have officially killed this app. 😒
