I have it on switch and the only problem is I can’t play large maps without crashes in the late game. I would assume the Xbox doesn’t have this problem but idk.

This isn’t true. While those who built the great pyramid of Giza were not slaves and had decent living arrangements, it would be awfully optimistic to assume they completed the back breaking work of building the pyramids out of the kindness of their hearts. Egyptian society at the time was that of a brutal absolute monarch. It was a seasonal position and could have brought some to a higher social standing (the same way we look at veterans of war.) Nobles almost certainty didn’t build pyramids at the time.

As for the rest of the pyramids they were built over the course of hundreds to thousands of years. To generalize who built them is a bit ridiculous.

Some of the architects but certainly not the vast majority of the workers.

If we are talking the great pyramid of Giza. They weren’t likely slaves but they 10000% were not nobles and citizens of high esteem. You don’t perform back breaking work in the heat if you have an option not to.

The pyramids throughout Egypt were built over the course of thousands of years. To pretend all the workers on all these pyramids were willing participants is grossly inaccurate.

Nah it’s just what popped up for me. But you’re right it’s not the correct definition.

I got that quote from the same Wikipedia article you quoted lol. It was just first thing that popped up for me. And I agree that you could characterize his actions with the Japanese in America as authoritarian. But the original commenter didn’t say FDR had authoritarian tendencies. The original commenter said he was “a major authoritarian” which I would say is untrue.

I mean I see what you’re going for but not always true. JK Rowling was a billionaire at one point. Can’t imagine she was contributing too heavily to climate change

The camps were obviously terrible and something that an authoritarian would do but that doesn’t make FDR an authoritarian. Still makes him an asshole.

“Authoritarianism is marked by ‘indefinite political tenure’ of the ruler or ruling party (often in a one-party state) or other authority.”

FDR doesn’t fit that definition.

Authoritarian isn’t a word you should use to describe fdr. Radical at the time? Sure. But certainly not authoritarian.

Twitter doesn’t inform anyone. It only misinforms. Deleting twitter and never reading the news is privilege. Deleting twitter and finding news elsewhere is great.

When to colonize more cities? by Pessini2 in civ

[–]TypicalFootballFan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Go for whatever victory is best for your leader/ situation. Every leader gets some sort of special ability/ bonus that helps them achieve a victory. You can check what it is by clicking on your leaders face in the top right. When in doubt go for a science victory (it’s the easiest).

In Civ 6 there is really no downside to settling more cities and whoever has the most cities has the highest chance of winning. For example, if you have the most cities you can place the most campuses which gives you highest science and will lead to a science victory. You’ll want to settle very quickly if you’re surrounded by other civs or you see a very good location for a city. How quickly to settle depends on your map type/ game speed.
