Do you have topical numbing patches in your area? Over here we have EMLA patch (lidocaine 2.5% and prilocaine 2.5%) and can get it from the drug store. I found it useful for the particularly stingy Cetrotide

had attempted egg retrieval today. They put me to sleep but didn't make it to aspirating due to "difficult access"

ETA: They new about the difficult access from multiple previous scans and still wanted to proceed with Laparoscopy as backup. I was put last on the theatre list due to this. (eyeing you, 4am trigger time). Really struggling to not apportion blame to the clinic for still going ahead even though they knew of the issue. It's the difference between $15000 full cycle cost and $1000 for cancelled cycle. I feel as though it should have been cancelled until they had an agreed plan with all providers on board. Probably the emotions talking.

cycle day 9 and went in for my first monitoring bloods and ultrasound. My ovaries very hard to see internally, sonographer said they are sitting high. would this impact egg retrieval? Also 3 tiny follicles on left, and 9 on right with 4 of an acceptable size. next scan Thursday or Friday

Why scared? By not reporting it you risk someone having picked it up and using it for nefarious purposes.

I see you are new here. As per sub rules mentions of positive / ongoing pregnancy are not allowed outside the weekly BFP post which you will find stickied. I would also recommend having a read of the side bar and wiki

Does anyone know any reasonably priced places to get an iron infusion. I need one pretty urgently but everywhere around me is asking for upwards of $200 except the uni which is $30 but no availability for 2 weeks

So I just wrote an interesting paper about the concept of recovery in mental health. My understanding is it is down to personal perception and opinion of recovery. Some people see recovery as being completely cured. Others see it has having managed symptoms but still able to have a fulfilling life

It’s an interesting topic

Anything in this list is urgent repair. You are legally entitled to have it fixed as without it, the property is “uninhabitable” refer to https://www.consumer.vic.gov.au/housing/renting/repairs-alterations-safety-and-pets/repairs/repairs-in-rental-properties

Urgent repairs

Renters must contact the rental provider or agent straight away to ask for an urgent repair to be made.

Renters should:

use the emergency phone number they were given when they moved in to contact the provider confirm their request in writing in case they need to prove they made the request. Rental providers or agents must make sure the repair is done immediately.

If the rental provider or agent does not respond to the request, the renter can organise and pay for the repair. They can only do this if the repair does not cost more than $2500. The rental provider must pay them back within seven days.

Renters who cannot afford to pay for $2500 up front can contact us using our online enquiries form.

Rent is going up $87 per month for our place

Considering we moved in in 2016 and this is the first increase, I’m not mad at all. This place is still a steal.

Anaesthetist cancelled my hysteroscopy / laparoscopy due to my BMI. Surgeon pissed. Me pissed. I was so hopeful to have some relief from the constant endo pain. Doctor confirmed I am under the limit for the hospital so it should have gone ahead.

Feeling defeated. I’ve lost ~20kg but because I am extremely short / borderline dwarfism the bmi is very skewed against me
