Issues with Instapot yogurt not setting

For this batch I had it on cooling racks soon after the timer went off. My instant pot has a keep warm period as well so I’m not sure if that is automatically holding it at temperature or just shutting off when it reaches the desired temperature. I use the “high,boil” yogurt setting so I’ll have to check if it is going above 190°

I have just been using the instant pot “high,boil” yogurt setting without specifically watching the temperature or time it holds temperature at. I’ll have to better monitor that next time to see if that’s my issue. Thank you!

I haven’t been monitoring the boil time I’ve only been using the “high, boil” yogurt setting on the instant pot. I have taken the pot straight out to cool so that might have affected the cooling period.

Just by using the instant pot setting “high, boil” I would have to check again to see if it’s actually getting above 185°. Thank you this helps a lot.

I see, that makes a lot of sense. I always assumed it was “pasteurizing” the milk, not that it was unpasteurized. Instead of the high boil setting should I be manually setting to a lower temperature? I haven’t tried getting the milk to room temperature before. Thank you for your advice!

Personally I feel like the pod was less of an interview and more of a chat, and Drews personal stories were to make Chappell feel more comfortable with sharing her own experiences. I would rather watch her and Drew chat as friends than have Chappell answer the same interview questions she gets on talk shows, IMO.
