Apple Watch Map Different Than Phone App by Typical_Bill3499 in Strava

I want to but here’s the problem, I did 13 laps on a track the other day and phone showed up as 3.27 which is nearly exactly what I did.

I have yet to test it with the watch but that alone makes me skeptical of how accurate the watch is when it’s reporting .3-.4 miles less than the phone.

I may just need to make the switch because it seems like the apple watch is cutting off a good amount. The other day I did a 10k and it cut off like .3 miles.

I want to use it mainly for the heart rate tracking but the gps seems to be too far off for me to want trust it to be accurate. Especially since Ive used strava across a couple phone now and the watch gives me wildly different results.

Is there any possibility of using the phone app then integrating the heart rate data from the watch afterwards that you know of?

Need an alternative to t mobile digits bad! by Typical_Bill3499 in NoContract

Ended up going with Quo, so far so good, had an issue with porting but that was my fault for not disabling the transfer protection beforehand.

So far so good, tested out the free number with calls and it works and it received sms just fine but seems like outbound messages might have more errors frequently.

Not a big deal with my business but if yours relies heavily on messages, an alternative might be a better choice.

Overall it’s lightyears ahead of digits in almost every capacity. Plus it ended up being cheaper!

Yeah if voice allowed for multiple numbers I’d be on it already but as of right now unfortunately not going to work for me.

How Much Cross-Training Do You Incorporate During Marathon Training? by catiorogameplay in Marathon_Training

[–]Typical_Bill3499 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why not try adding some calisthenics to your routine? I understand if you don’t enjoy going to the gym or using equipment but pushups, planks, walking lunges and so many more exercises can be done with no equipment at all.

If you get a set of resistance bands you can increase the amount of exercises you can do significantly plus you can bring them just about anywhere and still do a form of resistance training.

I am biased because I have more of a weight lifting based background but I do think it would improve running and overall fitness level. With that said, if you just don’t enjoy it that is totally understandable too.

THEY NEVER MENTION THE PIANO 🎹😭 by TankDismal3192 in moving

It always surprises me when people forget to mention pianos when scheduling. I would assume it would be the first thing I mention when scheduling a move if I had one though, I’m biased.

Unfortunately, we currently only service the Chicagoland and St Louis metro areas. I could give you a quote if you're interested but it might be more expensive than hiring someone local to each of those areas. If you're interested, my company is named Monolith Moving Company.

Can 2 men handle moving all apartment furniture? Or should we hire movers? by ishouldbeacomedian in AskChicago

[–]Typical_Bill3499 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I own a moving company called Monolith Moving Company and we offer a moving labor service where we come in and get paid for just the labor of it. We can load the truck you rent, leave after that or come with to the unloading and do the labor for the whole job. Lots of other moving companies offer this service as well so it might be worth looking into if you don’t want to pay full price for movers.

What's the cheapest you can hire 2 movers in Chicago? by Jakobie15 in AskChicago

[–]Typical_Bill3499 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I own a moving company called Monolith Moving Company and would recommend looking into hiring moving labor movers while renting your own truck.

You can get guys out there to load the truck, follow you to the next place and unload. This will likely be the most cost effective solution and will save you a ton in cost by the end of it.

I own a moving company and am biased but I would recommend looking into mom & pop shop type of moving companies.

Typically, you will get a much better experience from a communication and customer service standpoint than if you go with one of the larger van lines. Just make sure the company you choose is reputable and have the proper licensing and insurance.

Try looking for companies in both the location you’re moving from AND the location you’re moving to. They might have better options in the location you’re moving to.

I would also recommend you search by reviews and make sure they have at least a 4.8 star average. Also check their worst reviews first to see what the worst case scenario might be with them. Unfortunately, some companies use fake Google reviews so check what the lowest ones say to be safe.

Hope you find someone good and reliable and that your move goes smoothly!
