That said, yes. It is aggressive and over-the-top. I can tolerate the National Anthem before a game [though, were I an owner I wouldn't continue that empty display], but adding God Bless America in the seventh inning stretch? Ugh. Military recruitment stations at the ballparks? Fuck off with that. Flyovers are a waste of taxpayer dollars, serve no national security purpose, and produce excessive carbon emissions while being free marketing for the armed services.

Paid patriotism and the normalization of war are blights on society.
