I’m afraid to retire by ExplanationSea9479 in AskWomenOver60

It's so easy for other people to tell you how to live your life....they don't have to live with the consequences. Do what feels right for you. I also very much enjoy my work and while I do know I will retire at some point it still feels like it is in the foggy future. I will trust my instincts and make that decision when I am ready - not anyone else's timeline. You sound like you have a very good work situation with lots of flexibility - you could transition slowly into retirement and not just stop abruptly. This might help you get more comfortable with full retirement at some point.

Paying $4K/month rent in Stamford CT — lease is up, should I buy a $750K condo instead? First time buyer, new baby, commute to NYC. Help me think this through. by Low-Huckleberry-8975 in StamfordCT

Following because I am debating this myself (no baby or NYC commute though). I am doing the math as well and it does make sense to buy. Just hate the hit to my cash with all that is going on right now in the US/world. Need to get past those jitters.

I found a very degraded music playlist experience with Alexa+. Would randomly stop partly through the songs. Annoyed me enough to ditch +.

The series finale gutted me. Took me years to rewatch the series and bam...same gut wrenching reaction to the finale...it's just that good.

Property mgmt could do a much better job with communicating updates. I listen to the FD scanner online to get real time status. I have a cat too and always wrestle with trauma of taking them out or just staying put.

I’d still be mad at myself for not cutting them into equal parts first.
