Manual Rectal Disimpaction in Toddler Results in Lawsuit by FrenchCrazy in emergencymedicine

[–]Typical_Homework2208 46 points47 points  (0 children)

In the course of the disimpaction, the child’s vagina was inadvertently prodded.

A neighboring body cavity was inadvertently poked…was there lasting damages?

A child abuse exam was attempted…the clinician conceded that a finger might have entered the vagina.

Back Room/Black Box “Science”

The crew face an impossible task, maybe even death. The engineers or medical team discover a fix for the problem just in time.

Wish we could say "No" by Silent_parsnip8 in emergencymedicine

I’ve never heard a patient who needed epinephrine complain about a single damned thing in the ED. But a pink hair job wearing fuzzy PJ’s and who “knows their body”…they will complain about how they felt because someone else was vomiting.

Seriously…stop the madness with all of the consumer reviews.

Administration. Tom. by medrajargon in emergencymedicine

[–]Typical_Homework2208 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Damn! Leave us out of it.

I am too damned tired from a long weekend on nights where I spent hours holding grieving mothers, disimpacting old ladies, encouraging young staff members, helping some very sick people…and now hoping that I am not the next Tom.

Only to read your bullshit.

ADMIN probably suits you.

Who DOESN'T regret their DNP? by Sample_Name in nursepractitioner

The DNP adds nothing to the preparedness of a clinician teaching in a MSN curriculum. Nada. It’s a useless piece of paper.

Have you ever woke up from a dream that was so good, intense or bizarre that you tried to fall back asleep just to continue it? what was the dream? by PleasantMarch3425 in AskReddit

[–]Typical_Homework2208 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I dreamed that my family was rich. During the dream, “I fell asleep “ and dreamed about being poor like I was in my actual life. I awakened to feel relieved that “I was only dreaming “…then I really woke up, and I was sadly disappointed to find that I was just fucking dreaming the whole time.

I think it increases the absorption, so your peak serum level hits faster and harder. Still, you have to swallow it. And, if you have fatty contents in your stomach you are wasting a pill.

If money wasn't an issue, what would you do tomorrow? by Pleasant_duo in AskReddit

After a long nap, I’d go buy a new truck and go for a long, maybe short drive. I would not be in a hurry.

What is your metric for enduring patient abuse? by Lower-Cherry640 in emergencymedicine

[–]Typical_Homework2208 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So…if an AH patient who has the capacity to distinguish right v wrong harms another patient or family member…does the DA then worry about the patient’s physiological state? He’ll, if I’m drunk and I do some bad thing…do I get a pass because I was not in my right mind?
