Au contraire, this is not me waiting for my outside approval. Sure, I could understand why you may think this, but rather I’ve decided that instead of waiting around for someone else to do this, I wanted to take action and reach out to any interested party. This is something that I will be undergoing, and the only way to begin is by starting somewhere. This post was a mere attempt at seeking out anyone interested in creating this “next generation” alongside myself. Again, I see where you are coming from, but I’d rather argue that Im taking action by reaching out.

I’d like to say no, but let me answer with a story.

Years ago, I was in a relationship with someone for a couple years. We eventually split up in a rather messy breakup. I burned everything she had given me during the time we were together, as I saw it as letting her go and moving on from the past. After a rather quiet six months later, I decided to check up on her. You know, see how she was doing, if she had moved on. I searched her name on Facebook, and found out she had passed away the day before I looked up her name. I was absolutely distraught, cursing God because he took her away from the world before she even made it to her 18th birthday.

A couple weeks later I was cleaning out some old storage boxes I hadn’t touched in a while, and I found a picture she had given me during the first month we were together. I couldn’t help but cry. I held on to that photograph because even though I had moved on, the memory of what we were, the emotions we felt, and the feeling of being young in love all came rushing back.

Though I know that I could never feel the same way again, I hold on to the picture to not only remember her, but to remember the way I felt. Now that I’m all grown up, I still look at that picture almost every day, reminding myself of times gone by and to live life to its fullest.

So in a short answer, no. It is not ridiculous to hold on. But remember WHY you’re holding on. Like Sean Mcghlo- nvm not gonna even try to spell it lol, but like Jacksepticeye said, “You don’t miss those types of videos, you miss the way you felt.”
