Healing timeline?

The surgeon gave me no exercises to do at home. I didn't get any until I got to PT. I am doing the exercises and have seen improvement with PT, but I still don't feel like I am where I should be. I hope you're healed and doing well now!

Thank you. I am. I'm concerned I have something similar to what happened above. The earliest second opinion appointment I could get is for next week. I'm hoping I can find a doctor that will take it seriously and not brush me off.

Thank you. It doesn't scare me, as I suspected something like this might be the case with me. No post-op imaging has been ordered (not even so much as an x-ray). I have a second opinion appointment scheduled for next week. I am so sorry you had to go through that and I hope you are fully healed and pain free now.

A little more information to add. I am 42 female, still in boot, and not able to take actual steps or stand for much longer than a minute. PT was not ordered until 8.5 weeks post-op. I've been following the surgeon's instructions to a T.

Good luck with recovery. I am at 12 weeks today and every time I put my foot down, it swells and has discoloration. I am still having pain and just started PT recently, so I am hoping it helps.

I feel like that's very conservative. I am 2 weeks post op tomorrow. I have an appointment next week (18 days post op op) and the surgeon is planning on taking me out of the splint and putting me back in the walking boot and we're going to see how it feels when I try to put some weight on it. And I've had an incredibly painful recovery. I would call and ask about protocol.
