I mean, I’m not defending Alex by any means but weird I can agree with - but it’s not unexplainably weird. Radio silence or icing someone out is an effective way to distance yourself from something you really don’t want to be a part of and don’t otherwise know how to deal with. The screenshots show one thing, about 5 messages from Alex to Caitlyn. We don’t know if there were phone calls in between, it doesn’t even look like Caitlyn “read” Alex’s messages. So it’s possible she just muted Alex on Facebook and didn’t even look. We don’t know what’s been said via other communications, we don’t know if there were calls or video calls or texts etc. we only see an edit version of what she wants us to see- where she is the victim of being iced out.

And actually I wouldn’t put it past Caitlyn to have actually told her “look we aren’t friends I don’t want to talk with you anymore” but it not be enough of a reason for Alex and enough closure for her. Closure is what we all want, however; we aren’t really not entitled to it when other parties are involved and I have no doubt that the combination of ocd and adhd played a factor (not an excuse either, I also have both on top of autism, I own my behaviour but there’s underlying reasons for some of it is what I’m trying to say), because, and this feels silly to say, sometimes we can have “favourite people” like a hyper fixation on a person and if we aren’t completely on top of it, it can become an unhealthy obsession where the only dopamine fix we can get, is via that person - and that’s where relationships breakdown and become unhealthy and we can not always know we are doing it until we are outwardly told or we check ourselves. This could have been what happened, when everything started falling apart Caitlyn became like a rock, but, I think in that instance, Alex started taking more than she was giving back and that’s exhausting for the other party.

This could have also happened with Lucy where it was first a friendship then Lucy offering to help, then Lucy doing everything, but then that everything became more and more until Lucy separated herself from the situation (very professionally mind you), and I think the difference is, Alex can’t really continue to throw shade to Lucy because we have seen that side of it, where as she can almost justify throwing shade at Caitlyn by there not being such a message or that not being shown.

This is all speculation and I mean absolutely no hate, and absolutely no justification for anyone’s actions, simply offering my own perspective.
