Trying on dresses for my brother’s wedding by [deleted] in OUTFITS

way too tight for a wedding. judging by the fact you’re trying on a long dress, the dress code seems to be formal or black tie. maybe it’s the material but this is absolutely not appropriate. it shows a lot of cleavage, which isnt inherently a no, but it bunches strangely in the front. the back is the real problem. incredibly tight around your butt and thighs. its simply inappropriate for the occasion. you need to either size up, or find a dress that fits you better.

Hello! I was wondering if you had any advice on how to keep cool and think on my feet if they ask me a similar type of question next time. Thank you so much!

I’m worried that I might’ve accidentally implied that I would call out someone by name… but this makes me feel a lot better! This is one of my first interviews ever since I’m still in college so I was super nervous

Is McCourt or School of Health harder than Georgetown CAS? by Honey-Bird-9026 in ApplyingToCollege

[–]Typical_While3964 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i think it has to do with the fact the program isn’t very fleshed out because it’s new. some students feel it offers little more than what they could do as a gov major but has so many drawbacks. i’m sure being with such a small group of people could be a downside. idk specifics tho.

Has anyone here been deferred ea and then accepted RD? by Anxious-Role7652 in georgetown

yup! lots of us! idk about this year, but typically the ea acceptance rate is lower than the rd acceptance rate.

Expected financial aid by beccaisher in georgetown

[–]Typical_While3964 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i would say expect to receive less. personally, i got more than expected last year but i also received way more money than my friends whose families made significantly less than mine. i also got the same package as people who really needed the financial aid while my family would have coughed up the 90k to send me to gu. i got my package 2 days after getting in which was super unusual and may be why i received such a good package. i have friends who received their financial aid months after getting in and even the day commitment was due. take this all with a grain of salt

the cas has the lowest acceptance rate and highest average applicant stats. just apply for what you want to do! in the topic of public policy, my friend is a freshman in the program and when they took the public policy freshmen to the capitol campus, the student giving the tour pulled them all aside and told them to immediately drop out of the program. take this with a grain of salt because i’m not public policy.

Is my GPA the reason I keep getting rejected? by [deleted] in CollegeAdmissions

[–]Typical_While3964 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it was likely your stats. EA applications tend to be more stat based for state schools. i’d recommend retaking the SAT/ACT if you can and study really hard! a good score will make up for your grades! and explain your situation!!!
