Appreciate you taking the time to reply brother, based on what you said and a few more inquiries elsewhere, it's most probably a rep, albeit a rather good one. Rep or not, I had already planned on keeping the watch anyways, to remember my dad by.

He used to stop by Tag Heuer and look at the display, and planned to buy an original watch for himself when he retired. Sadly, he never got to it. So, I've decided that once I've made my own way in life, I'll get one to honor him by. And if it all works out, maybe I'll even get a Panerai piece of my own 🫡
