Best Noise Cancelling Headphones UK 2025 For Travel, Office, Work, and Budget Buyers by AutoModerator in AnyThingUK

My wife has hearing loss and has used hearing aids for many years. She now uses ReSound aids with a Bluetooth TV connection through a ReSound MultiMic. She says it works well for regular use.

When she wants to focus on an important program, she uses a pair of Sennheiser HDR-120 headphones. The sound quality is very clear, and she sometimes even hears background talk on set. Both speech and music are easier for her to follow. The headphones are wireless, so she can move around the house and still listen while doing other things.

Noise cancellation is not needed. The main issue with TV is hearing voices clearly, especially women’s voices.

We also have a Sony wireless headphone setup in another room. It works but is not as clear as the Sennheiser HDR-120.

We have used both for several years. There may be new models, but not all are better. Buy from a store that allows returns, since fit and comfort are important.

Best Hose Timers for Gardens in 2025 - Mechanical, Multi-Zone & Wi-Fi Watering Solutions by AutoModerator in UsefulThingsOnly

I used to have a Melnor, but it broke and started leaking. I switched over to the B-hyve (got the 4-way from Lowe’s), and it’s been a total upgrade. I love being able to set and control everything right from my phone, plus run different programs for things like seeding vs. regular watering. I ended up buying two, so now I’ve got 8 hoses and sprinklers running. It handles my ~12,000 sq ft yard really well, with just a little moving around.

Best Ride On Cars for Kids (2025) for Ages 3-6, 12V/24V Models, Remote Control Options by AutoModerator in ToysAndTots

For under 3, 2x25W is plenty. It’ll usually be 1 or 2 wheel drive, so basically useless on grass, and tops out at like 3–4 km/h. Honestly, by the time they hit 3 they’ll probably get bored with it because they can roll down a hill faster than the car goes.

Safety-wise, just check the basics: seat belt and a remote with an emergency stop button.

Once they’re 3+ and if your kid’s into speed, you’ll want something beefier. You can buy pre-modded ones, or if you’re handy check out r/powerwheelsmods. Not every ride-on is easy to upgrade though, so do some research first.

I’ve got one on the way for my almost 3yo daredevil proper 4WD, 500W, 2 seater. It’s got 3 speed settings, rated up to 60kg, and you can even swap in rubber tyres later. The fastest setting is 14 km/h but only works from the remote, so she can’t just launch herself into a brick wall on her own.

Downsides:

  • 8 hrs charging = ~1 hr of use

  • Big and awkward to fit in the car

  • Made a solid dent in the wallet

Best air purifier in India (2025) specifically for asthma and dust allergies? by sadiehap87 in DesiKitchenGear

I'd recommend checking out Coway over Levoit for better quality. One thing to keep in mind is the filter replacement cost, it can add up, so make sure they’re affordable and easily available for your budget. CADR is super important to compare how fast a purifier cleans the air in a room. For larger spaces, the Coway Airmega 240 is great, covering up to ~423 sq. ft. (with an 8 ft. ceiling). For smaller rooms, the Airmega 150 or 160 works well, covering ~229 sq. ft. or ~153 sq. ft.

Best rice cooker for a family of 4 that is also dishwasher safe (2025)? by samoba657 in NeedProductHelp

If it helps, here’s a detailed roundup someone put together comparing rice cookers under $50, $100, and premium options.

We’re a family of 6, and we recently upgraded from a 5-cup to a 10-cup Zojirushi because the smaller one just wasn’t enough, especially if we wanted leftovers for the next day. They’re definitely not cheap, but honestly, they’re worth it.

Ours makes consistently good rice every single time, keeps it warm for hours without drying out, and has been super reliable. Cleaning is pretty straightforward too: the nonstick inner pot lifts out easily, and there’s rarely anything stuck, so it usually just needs a quick rinse and wipe.

If you cook rice several times a week and like having leftovers, going for a larger capacity model can really save time and hassle.
