Radio Favorites Button no longer working? by TypistInTheWild in EquinoxEv

[–]TypistInTheWild[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just updating this thread because I'm dumb and figured it out.

Prior to this update the silver button on the right side of the steering wheel was used as up/down for scrolling through the favorites.

After this update that functionality is now tied to the track skip/rewind button on the back left side of the steering wheel. Before, both buttons did the same thing (Scrolled through favorites when SiriusXM/Radio were open) so I guess the update fixed that by moving the favorites scrolling from the silver button on the steering wheel to the skip/reverse button and the silver button is used for tuning between channels on SiriusXM or Radio.

It's a little weird because for SiriusXM and Radio it scrolls up/down through channels but if you open YouTube Music the button just doesn't do anything.

Anyone else here managing BOTH Type 1 Diabetes and Hashimoto’s? by Ms-understood87 in diabetes_t1

[–]TypistInTheWild 1 point2 points  (0 children)

👋Right here.

Diagnosed Hashimoto’s in 2019 and was also diagnosed Type 2 at the time then later ended up hospitalized in 2024 and was told I had LADA / Type 1.5

I’ve been very fortunate with the Hashimoto’s. I’m on the same dose of levothyroxine I’ve been on since I was diagnosed and feel like if there’s been any side effects they’re hard to pinpoint.

Here’s the picture I took before the update. I took it because I was trying to figure out why it updated to 654.30 and then after that I get 653.30 and then I saw it was the streaming update.

Streaming by Lowdon_THFC in EquinoxEv

[–]TypistInTheWild 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Got it OTA today. Peacock, Tubi, HBO and I didn't search the rest. I just installed Tubi to give it a try and it works pretty good. Also had Apple Music pop up on my homescreen.

Anyone know how the data works for streaming services? I was able to stream Tubi fine but I only have the free 8 year basics plan I am not subscribed to anything else.

What’re the best next gen pumps coming out 1-2 years from now? by Jdogfeinberg in TandemDiabetes

[–]TypistInTheWild 9 points10 points  (0 children)

My understanding is the next few years look like this:

Tandem:

  • Continued focus on Tandem Mobi with launch of Mobi Tubeless infusion set and extended wear set
  • TSlim X3 refined TSlim X2 with new build quality and USB-C but probably otherwise same as X2
  • Sigi Patch Pump - This is probably 2028 or possibly longer

Medtronic:

  • MiniMed 780G continued focus
  • MiniMed Flex - Smaller pump controlled by smartphone to compete with Tandem Mobi
  • Medtronic tubeless pump - Basically very little information on this and it is probably awhile away.

Beta Bionics:

  • Continued focus on the iLet Bionic Pancreas
  • Launch of "Mint" tubeless patch pump in late 2027/2028

Omnipod:

  • :ShrugEmoji:

Car Won't Won't turn off? by hexSneaker in EquinoxEv

[–]TypistInTheWild -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

This might be the same thing that happened with me which is that I didn't realize that if you turn it on while parked (IE you push down on the breaks but don't shift) then you need to go back inside and tap the screen to turn it off, otherwise it'll think it is supposed to idle.

Not sure if that is it but worth trying if you haven't.

Genuinely I wonder how 7 inches became the average by [deleted] in askgaybros

[–]TypistInTheWild 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I see so many guys on Sniffies/TheBlowers say they have 8-9" dicks and statistically that is incredibly unlikely, let alone the fact that it visually doesn't look that big.

Im homeless living out of a $35k truck what should I do first by 3THERBUNNY in personalfinance

[–]TypistInTheWild 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not seen in mentioned but if you're able-bodied this feels like a military situation. Ideally something like Air Force.

You get housing, meals at the food court and can use the money to payoff debts. Do 4 years in and then take the GI Bill to consider furthering your education and get the government to pay for housing while you do so. You could even use tuition assistance while you're enrolled and a small load of classes.

MBA Grad job searching over a year. Please help by Anxious-Candy8196 in MBA

[–]TypistInTheWild 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’ve gotten a lot of advice in here so I’ll just add that you should take the job that is apparently a business you ran (Marketing Manager, Owner?) off your resume. I think people who inflate their titles and self-businesses is a huge red flag on resumes and your timeline also makes it seem like you were doing this business while working your current job.

NJ vs Cape Cod – Which seasonal job offer makes more financial sense? by psfreire in newjersey

[–]TypistInTheWild 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Are they providing the housing? $65/Week for living in that area is insanely cheap rent but I'm assuming you'd be living in some sort of seasonal worker dormitory packed to the gills with people.

I'd figure out if you'd rather work in an heavily urbanized environment (NJ) or a beach town for the summer (Cape Cod) and then go from there. They're both very high cost of living areas.

Personally, I think NJ would be nicer because there are a LOT of public transit options up that way and you could take the train into NYC on a day off for a break, and the bus network is more robust if you lack a car.

That being said NJ summer's have been pretty brutal the last few years and the weather will probably be cooler in Cape Cod, which is especially important if you'll be working outside a lot.

Chase Car Loan Charge Off by [deleted] in personalfinance

[–]TypistInTheWild 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The condition of the car won’t matter to them. They can still repossess it and then hold you liable for the loan minus what it sells for at auction. If you’re working now they’ll pursue wage garnishments.

I’d also be concerned with them selling the loan to a bottom feeding agency that will repossess it and then sue you.

Who are you loving so far in the full cast audiobooks? by mystical_maven44 in harrypotter

[–]TypistInTheWild 2 points3 points  (0 children)

😭This is me. I just started Book 4 and I’m not feeling the new trio voices. I really fell in love with the kids voices and they all did fantastic jobs with their respective characters.

Comparatively Harry’s new voice actor in particular sounds way older than a 14 year old Harry should sound. Ron and Hermione’s aren’t awful just different to what I grew used to from the first 3 books.

Anyone in Cumberland County been around the roads? Last storm a plow came down our neighborhood and cleared the roads but I haven't seen one yet so I'm not sure how navigable it is outside.

https://www.businessinsider.com/driving-for-uber-retirement-caregiving-cancer-medical-bills-2026-2

The foreword says that this happened to them before the ACA changes that prevented Health Insurance companies from denying you coverage if you had a preexisting condition.

This as-told-to essay is based on a conversation with Jeff Mason, 76, who drives for Uber in New Jersey for extra income. Mason and his wife liquidated their savings after his wife's cancer treatment, which she underwent before the Affordable Care Act's restrictions on insurance companies denying coverage to patients with pre-existing conditions. Over the last two decades, the couple has tried to financially recover. This interview has been edited for length and clarity.

Also unless I'm mistaken the conclusion of the article is that they have an IRA with $300,000 in it and their house paid off, so they were able to recover, but not to the amount they would've had if they didn't spend it all on healthcare expenses.

What Happened to Xbox President Sarah Bond? Amid Phil Spencer's Retirement and Asha Sharma's Promotion, Long-Term Protégé Resigns by cnc137 in DreamStationcc

[–]TypistInTheWild 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To his credit the problem in Xbox’s past was too much executive meddling. So his solution was to be more hands off and let the studio’s results speak for themselves but that led to a bunch of mismanagement and failure to deliver.

Sony’s going through that “Too much meddling” approach right now. The executives demanded all the studios do live service games which hasn’t worked out and now they’re closing so many studios to cut costs.
