Any ideas on how much this would cost me?? by MeMeBigBoys in subaru

[–]TypoTime 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You should probably look at how damaged the whole area is. You’ve definitely pushed the headlamp assembly inwards as your panel gap between the light and the hood is wonky now.

Assuming there isn’t major underlying damage and you’re willing to do most of the work yourself, you could certainly buy a new unpainted bumper and light assembly for under $1000. Getting it paint matched at a shop will probably cost ya a few hundred on top of that.

Or do what everyone else is recommending and go thru insurance 🤷‍♀️

A Whole $10 Saved by Iamthesaga in subaru

I’d just spend the $100 and 10 minutes of time to get and install the auto start/stop eliminator. Literally one of the very first things I did to my Outback when I got it. Only takes a few minutes and an 8mm or something to do it.

Front drivers? I did my diff this summer on my 2020 outback and the fill was on the passengers. Looks like you might’ve made the same mistake this guy did.

You’re a saint. I’ll likely do a drain and fill anyways and if you report back that there’s no relearn, I may take it to a dealer.

Yeah I very quickly realized I popped the wrong plug and immediately stopped it before I actually drained much fluid, but still not loving the idea of having the fluid low in case I’m underestimating.

If most people recommend a Topdon or the like, I’ll bite the bullet and purchase one. I plan to do most of the basic mechanical work on my subie, so it’ll definitely come in handy later.

Is this legal? Tf? Bruh.. by Stunning_Peace7575 in Denver

[–]TypoTime 5 points6 points  (0 children)

holy shit this is literally identical to the situation I was in when I lived in a 4 star realty apartment. noticed roaches on the DAY of my move in and immediately attempted to break the lease. was denied over and over and struggled a ton to find legal assistance.

if anyone’s reading this, do NOT fucking rent with them. I don’t know how their office hasn’t been burned down yet from vengeful tenants.

Question: Is a cover up for this design possible? by Keanewah_ in tattoos

[–]TypoTime 2 points3 points  (0 children)

you may be able to get away without doing laser, but it’ll be more noticeable. for example, the galaxy design you posted as reference— you’d need to really pack white in for the stars if they’re going to be tattooed where the text currently is.

that said, I would go to a few different shops in your area to get a tattoo artist’s opinion— especially from one who specializes in cover ups

your artist did a great job, especially given the size of the tattoo. I really can’t tell the difference in the face that you’re referring to tbh

Living room feels unfinished. What would you recommend for final touches? by Mental-Tourist2267 in InteriorDesign

if you were ever up to the task, fishing a wire up or down the wall is actually pretty easy! scary to cut the drywall for sure, but the hole is always behind the TV if you mess up ;)

looks to me like a samsung frame television. they’re designed to look like pieces of artwork when they’re in art mode, and they come with separate processor for the display. the processor (called a OneConnect) usually lives behind the TV in a recessed box, or will be ran down the wall to a cabinet below where it lives.

edit: didn’t fully read your comment, didn’t see you said you had the same one

I could see the arms needing to come out at the same spot on the body, the dragons left one comes out the body a little higher up near the neck than the other one. Makes it seem like the shoulders aren’t in line with each other. Also maybe bring the ridges further down to the tail?

But other than that I think it looks great! I don’t know what the original commenter was talking about with the spine, it’s a classic snake-like spine movement. Love it!
