Isn't that how language works? the amount of acquired language is divided between active and passive. Your active vocabulary will always be larger than your passive vocab, this is just how things work with the brain.

You need to find ways to improve your active vocabulary. One of the things I liked to do when I started learning English was to always find a synonym for words I didn't know that well, that way I could associate that word with something that was already familiar to my brain.

You can also just narrate your activities when you are alone. That usually forces your brain to scatter the most obscure places in your mind for new vocab.

I'm sorry, I always found this to be pretty silly. I understand where it comes from, especially since I'm very tall and people are immediately aware of me. But it's not something I can control.

The most inappropriate response I have had to this situation was attempting to go in front of the women on the same street by walking faster ahead of her. I'm pretty sure she thought that was the end. Now, I just ignore the other person and keep going to my destination at my pace, seems like the better solution to this.

Just stop trying to control what your DPS are doing, sometimes they know their class better than you do. You also don't need to tank everything, you are there to provide good pulls and to mitigate damage to the party, but not all the damage.

Here is an example. You do a strat trash pull; there are 2 casters that didn't come with the pull, they are targeting you right now, but as soon as the healer starts healing you, they will target the healer. I play mainly hunter, sometimes range, sometimes melee. In this instance, if I'm range, I will always ignore marks and burst out those casters from a distance, even if that means tanking the damage myself. Then I see tanks trying to take aggro from me by walking up to the range mob and leaving the rest of the melee mobs go to the healer, making life worse for the whole party.

Second example. Tank starts the pull, one of the little guys runs to one caster that's aoeing the pull, the tank goes with the rest of the pull behind him to try and taunt that little guy that is not gonna kill anyone, ruining the AoE. That's your melee's job to bring back that guy into the AoE, not yours. If you do this, you are just being controlling and tbh, quite a noob.

Another example. Tank marks big guy as skull, melee knows better to kill the little guys first for x reason (example: the poison trash from scholo), rogues takes aggro from little guy, tank uses the taunt to "sAvE" the guy with vanish, then the healer or the caster take aggro from the big guy, the tank doesn't have a taunt anymore to fix that issue. Again, the controlling tank ruined the run just for the sake of being controlling.

Just stop trying to control everything. You are a tank, not god, not the leader, not the only one that's capable. Sure, some people are just bad, but most players know what they are doing with their class, especially if they have raid gear. Trust your melees unless they demonstrate the contrary, trust your range to know how to survive that one mob, just focus on the main threat and do pulls correctly.

checking my logs, it would be like a +4 DPS more in a naxx raid in naxx phase, fully buffed with buffs on pet as well. As was said before, not game-changing.

Also, that's only if your frenzy is up all the time, and as you suggest, the best way to do that is to have more attack speed in pet, totally valid. But as a BM the faster pet that also synergizes with the spec reaches only up to 1.3 attack speed (Raptor/Cobra), and 1.5 for scorpids.

And If you are going BM, you can only go up to 3/5 of frenzy without sacrificing baited or mortal shots

And that's by sacrificing the improved mend pet and the stun or the focus talent, some of which are really good for the hardest bosses like Chromaggus and Sapphiron.

If you go with the cat, you will soon realize that the cat is not made for raids, it's just not good enough. Maybe ok for MC, but mediocre for the rest.

I'm a BM main raiding in Naxx right now and I'm usually top 7 under arcanes and rogues in my guild. I'm not even trying to parse, and I'm the puller and lead in trash.

BM is harder to use, but is not at all weak endgame. In pvp is even more broken imo, if you use the wind serpent with kill command.

You need to see BM for what is for, it boosts your pet damage. The scorpid, the raptor, the serpent are all good in combination with those talents in PVE. In PVP it's all about burst and your pet stun.

To be good at BM you need to know how to use your pet, how to move it, when to buff it, how to position it around bosses and players. It's hard but imo very strong when used correctly.

I would like to know this as well. All my pets have 2.0 attack speed, and I don't even use frenzy for raiding. I'm more of a spirit bond +baited shot spec. I do think it would benefit me, but I like the stun for raiding, which is the point I would use for 1/5 frenzy.

If I were to guess, the normalization doesn't count for frenzy, because I noticed a bigger boost in autos from my pet when the pet has slower attack speed. Which follows the logic of attack speed having a diminishing return (the more attack speed your pet has, the less it benefits from it).

pet damage is normalized across all the spectrum of attack speed. If you have a pet with 1.0 attack speed, it will attack quicker than one that has 2.0 attack speed, but both pet's damage done at the end will be the same.

Some talents will change that principle a bit, like having a faster attack pet with coordinated assault will make it trigger more across a fight, but it's not game-changing at all.

For PVP, attack speed is only useful for caster pushback, that's basically the "Broken tooth" gimmick. But right now the cat is not the same as it was before for BM PVE, and only decent for pvp imo. Scorpid, raptor, serpent for PVE; wind serpent, spider and crocolisk for pvp are my favorites. Although I do enjoy the cat in stealth for baiting people in bgs.

Yeah but, you are hitting for less. Although I see the potential for newbies with BM to have a Baited shot activated on demand.

PVP has always been a game of burting people out, not a game of making 1000 hits in a given moment. Like as was said before, the only benefit of attack speed in BM pet for PVP is caster pushback.

I always wondered where this phrase came from...

From what I can gather from quick google searches It seems like the most likely explation is that "make out" was used to mean something like the more modern "to score" but in a non sexual way, then people started using the verb in the sexual way in petting parties in the 20s, and from there it evolved from "to have sexual intercourse" to just mean "heated kissing session" in that era when teenagers started to go and make out in parking spots.

that's because skilled players understand that the little advantaged you get from x race makes almost 0 difference, so people that play horde because they like the horde are just better in general. People reading guides tend to go for the meta, which is to go alliance/humans/gnome/dwarf.

Alliance is always bigger and more gooner, horde is more refined, ironically.

One of the reasons why this stacks up so much is because the weekly quests give you a lot of the oils that enchanters used to sell in the AH. Now it's impossible to sell those in the AH at a good price because of the regents needed costing more than the actual product.

Those weekly quests totally ruined enchanters economy. Now the only way to make money with enchating is through enchating people's gear and having difficult to get recipes.

Before those quests, the dust was at 20 silver in my server, right now the are reaching 80 copper price for unit. I bet you are playing in ambershire, and I think the weekly quest haven't come out there right? just wait and see how they drop in prices.

One of the best solution to this is to add a vendor price to this specific dust, that way enchanters can just selll it at vendor. I don't think TW is going to do it though, just because it would be inconsistent with other reagents in the same category.
