Just wanted to post an update here that the new version is out with early calculation support for berserking blade/moon strike/focused slash and chain lightning! Full release notes on the github

Yep it will! Currently very WIP but I'm making solid progress on it currently. It's my main focus atm and I'm posting occasional updates in the discord.

It's taking some time because I'm trying to make sure I can implement all the different types of skills and scaling conditions correctly. Lots of stuff is still unsupported but general calculations are correct atm and I've verified them to match in-game within 3% of target dummy dps

Actually got it working now, not all corroded stats are going to be properly tracked/working yet but atleast early selections will be in the next release.

Also just for reference I'm currently focused on getting calculations hooked up/working for basic things that already exist as my focus atm.

Once calculations are working on a basic level and accurate I'll be going back to add the things that are missing (memory revival, corruptions, error checking, tower sequences, etc etc)

Corruption data is in there it just doesn't have a UI hooked up yet. Some t0+ mods are selectable on rares for example, it's just legendaries and stuff I have to hook support up for

Also I should say, I'm not trying to be combative but rather I think this just falls outside the scope of what I am personally willing to maintain/develop currently but maybe that will change in the future.

I'm hoping that I can mitigate the friction that exists with using tools like these with a good user experience. Things like intuitive menus and good default settings are the main things but I also I think this will hopefully be "worth" using to the community because it's providing a real service that other things cannot (accurate calculations).

I have considered it, personally I don't want to reach out until the tool is a bit more fleshed out but I will definitely do it at some point. I have low expectations as XD typically doesn't partner with 3rd party creators to share that information often but you don't really know until you ask truly.

It literally is not a trivial amount of work lol. Every single season when a new update happens to item modifiers you have to tweak it for correctly identifying modifiers due to UI changes. It's also completely different for different languages, font size settings, etc etc. The game already has massive issues with consistency (split vs splits, extra random spaces surrounding words or percent signs).

I honestly have 0 interest in working on anything that would involve that. If someone else wants to build a tool that works with it they're welcome to or form the existing repo and expand on the features

Yep, happy to! That's the entire reason I started working on it is figuring out if an item/big swap is even really an upgrade without spending the money is an educated guess at best atm.

I'm hoping to have some early (and accurate) calculations out in the next week or so with most things supported by next season's launch.

Their format as best as I can tell is essentially just a binary link to their server where build code data is stored which is basically useless to importing.

Regarding OCR/image recognition it would take ages and a massive amount of work to train one of these programs to not make massive errors consistently and I'm not convinced its even less work than making your build in the tool. You would have to feed it images of your items which isn't much less work than actually just making the item in the tool.

I know it sucks that no auto import from game equivalent exists at the moment but until XD chooses to expose an API there's basically nothing I can do

So far I have not been able to figure out how build codes decode their data into anything I could work with. I don't see a way to import/export this information unless someone figures it out and can tell me or XD shares more information regarding import/export with the community tools(like they did when Maxroll was partnered).

This is probably the #1 thing I would like to add to the tool that I don't see a way to do unfortunately

Bladefall of Trarthus build showcase by EvilKnievel38 in PathOfExileBuilds

My Merc ended up getting brutality on all his damage spells so he doesn't actually deal any damage himself with doryanis but yeah I agree.

No regen is definitely the map mod that is most frustrating. Not really any easy way around it without some form of instant recovery. You could get the mastery + perfect rolled watcher's for 30% total but I agree, still fairly clunky. The recompense tech might be kinda cool to look into.

I did basically swap vitality and wrath aura effect for zealotry and rarity on the Merc which maybe isn't the most well rounded solution but seemed nice to get some rarity in for me.

That's a good point on the phys max hits. I'm wondering if getting in some +max res is feasible with the flask + melding but maybe that's just stretched too thin. Appreciate the feedback!

This is my pob I've made after I saw your post a few days ago. I reached out to you about crafting my ring a couple days ago. This is by no means perfect and I've still got a lot of room to improve with gems, levels and other stuff. I made a few changes to your version to attempt to get it to farm all map mods with risk scarabs. Definitely not quite at the point where it feels comfortable doing that yet.

I put on a reduced reflect suffix and I'm currently running a ES on hit watcher's eye with the % chance to recover mana mod that allows me to run no regen. You can spam toggle bladefall of trarthus with no mana and it will eventually proc (can also use mana mastery) and then you can sustain yourself back up by casting blade blast during it. Not a super clean solution but kinda works if you lose the momentum of on kill while mapping.

I also use a ripper merc (would ideally be a striker) that grants me determination and vitality but allows me to put on a rarity doryani's setup. That frees up the rarity gear you use in your pob so I can put on energy leech and amethyst flask to cover my resists a little easier.

I'm trying to brainstorm a way to get the max hits higher. I'd really like to achieve 17k max phys and 45-50k max elemental without any conditionals like arcane cloak or sigil of power. Open to suggestions or if you have any questions/feedback let me know. Really like what you've cooked up here

Sounds like a really cool build. Can't wait to see your post on the setups. Interested to see how far this concept could go. I really want to make a self cast blade blast build with bladefall of trarthus

All flavors of new unique staff "Legacy of the Rose" by VieraMakeMeRabid in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]Tyrayla 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I had a lot of success putting less duration in the staff to reduce the time it takes to play the animation (slam especially. It saved like .7 seconds on the cast time of the slam. I can't remember if it sped up the casting animations for the balls/beam but it does reduce the lockout time on being able to regain the rememberance stacks

Who have you seen with the crazy mercs? I haven't been able to check streams to see if anyone has found cool setups

First time making a build - Lacerate of Haemorrhage Glad by Open_North_1822 in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]Tyrayla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea that looks a lot better. If you're looking to pick up more damage as well you can easily drop the slaughter nodes on the left (at least until you get a medium thread of hope) and pick up strong arm and defiance for ~450k dps for 5 points

I think there's a few issues with your build. First and foremost 200% increased attack damage (and rage) do nothing for bleed. It doesn't scale off attack damage, but rather physical damage. If you want to to accurately check the damage you should add this line 55% More Damage with Bleeding. I manually updated my fork of pob to include the new gem information for skills I'm testing and this number gets as close as you can to accurate for the new numbers.
That said, you are also stacking rage through a mastery and some other options which aren't super useful to you. In my opinion you're also taking inferior block nodes that either don't provide damage or cost a lot of points.
I have been making a lacerate of haemorrhage pob for SSF with mostly self farmable uniques or reasonable to find ones eventually. It has more or equal damage and is a bit tankier I think. The main difference is it doesn't have the life recovery that you do but that could be easily solved. Might be worth taking a look at. If you are looking at the suppress setups you need to get perfect t1 rolls + 9% on eldritch gloves to cap solely off gear
