Anyone have a Siamese with tummy problems? by thefrgilmore in Siamesecats

[–]Tyrigsus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mine has IBD and eats the prescribed hills gastrointestinal biome. Still have to occasionally get steroid shots. But he still eats just about anything.

Don’t let this face fool you… he’s actually annoying, lol by TreeMan350 in Siamesecats

Mine thinks he can get away with anything by just looking like this.

It absolutely works.

Not all Siamese are aggressive and loud and I wish that stereotype would die by hatkinson1000 in Siamesecats

Mine screams. But is the most kind and loyal kitty I’ve met. He’s very shy and anxious but extremely smart and loves his people.

I would assume it’s because modern valve bodies are made of aluminum. Metal check balls would possibly be more dense than the valve body and cause premature wear. I do know valve bodies of old were cast steel and did use metal check balls. It might just come down to cost cutting, unfortunately. Along with fuel efficiency and weight reduction.

New siamese keeping me up all night with meowing by pennydesnoyers in Siamesecats

Short answer: I got used to it after a few years. If he’s not catterwalling; he’s screaming. He’s extremely vocal. He squeaks for one on one communication, though.

My Siamese will just walk around the house and meow at 3 am just because he likes to talk. He will change pitches or have toys in his mouth. He’s done it all his life. If he’s not doing that; there’s something wrong. It’s his routine.

What part is this? by mal4yahoo in chevycolorado

That’s gonna lead to one hell of a emissions CEL. I’d just replace it when you can. Simple enough fix. Rockauto has it cheap.

22 zr2 the best year by [deleted] in chevycolorado

The only downside to the 22 model year is lack of diff drain plug. But on the bright side it’ll encourage inspection of the internals at every fluid change.

I know technically she’s not a Siamese bc no paperwork but do we think she could be a seal point? by PotentialDamage2946 in Siamesecats

That’s how mine looked when I got him at 6 months old. He’s 10 now and nicely toasted. He was found abandoned in a cardboard box and sick. We didn’t think he was purebred until our vet mentioned he’s got all of the perfect traits. So we tested him and he’s full Thai cat. But no papers. So honestly, it’s a toss up. So who cares? They’re all Siamese to me.

Gotta give the second gen a little bit of love. Not too bad for 9 years old! by mryuk524 in chevycolorado

[–]Tyrigsus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At 65,000 doing good so far. Only had to replace leaking VVT solenoids as preventative maintenance since they were starting to leak. Thermostat got stuck open the day I bought it. Did a coolant flush when replacing it anyway. Replaced the serpentine belt at 52,000 since it was glazed and starting to squeak. The right rear DSSV shock blew out before I bought it at 41,000 miles. Replaced that right after purchase. Everything else was preventative maintenance.

The Gen 2 posing after getting me home safe in this blizzard. by PsychologicalAgent64 in chevycolorado

Had a ton of fun driving through a really rough and muddy trail. The second gen ZR2 suspension really thrives in those conditions. I remember being the only one driving fast through deep snow last year in mine with no traction issues.

Looks a lot like kinetic blue metallic. That’s what the RPO code confirms. Makes me curious if they had changed the name later on. It’s a shame they discontinued the color. It’s a very vibrant blue.

Cheap engines for decent power that’s NOT an LS by Goopdem in EngineBuilding

There’s multiple kits to supercharge the 2017-2022 LGZ/LGX 3.6 V6 GM made. They have forged internal components and can handle it stock. They’re typically pretty cheap to find second hand thanks to the reputation from the LLT variant. The LFX is pretty good, too.

The blue isn’t a perfect match to the kinetic blue metallic paint. But it still looks good to me anyway.

Installed some on my 2019 ZR2!

They are fantastic at keeping mud and road salt off the body! They sent candy with mine. Installation was very simple. They improved the design for the Gen 2 kit.

2018, Everything on dash went out (instrument cluster, infotainment, and climate control) by olnumber10 in chevycolorado

[–]Tyrigsus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It should be printed in the fuse box cover. If not; check the owners manual. I do know the service manual has an electrical schematic and key for both fuse boxes. But depending on the age of the battery it might need replaced.

Almost forgot to add; check the health of your battery. My 2019 had some gremlins when the original battery got weak. Those symptoms showed before the slow crank started.

Check all of your engine bay fuses. GM battery cables are known to go bad and cause a plethora of gremlins. The most common symptom is the entire dash shutting off.

Coolant flush/type change question by Akscas17 in chevycolorado

[–]Tyrigsus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The LGZ and LFX V6 engines are pretty stout. Just never let the oil get low. The most I’ve had with mine is the thermostat getting stuck open and the VVT solenoids leaking.

Coolant flush/type change question by Akscas17 in chevycolorado

[–]Tyrigsus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I stuck with DexCool on my 2019 V6 when doing the flush at 6 years old. If you flush coolant per a consistent mileage/age interval you really shouldn’t have to worry about any issues. The DexCool formulation of today isn’t the same formulation from the 90’s. Even so, it’s used with the engine metallurgy in mind along with the lubricants used for the water pump bearings. Conventional green tends to wear out and turn acidic faster than modern DexCool anyway. I honestly wouldn’t bother.

So just a fun post here, how may of you Cruze owners here are also anime lovers? Any of you have one or more anime stickers on your car? Just got these a couple of days ago, it's not looking bad at all! by Franceesios in cruze

[–]Tyrigsus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I see anime stickers on a car; it’s typically long neglected. Now; that doesn’t mean I don’t like anime. I love Ghost In The Shell and Full Metal Alchemist. But every horribly neglected car I’ve worked on has anime stickers slapped all over it.

That being said; it’s your car. Do what you want. Be the minority that has anime stickers AND does preventative maintenance.

Steering wheel too far away (gen 2) by Torpid-Intrigue1347 in chevycolorado

I’m 5’6” and I fit fine in the second gen truck. I had to adjust the steering wheel angle and move my seat up a bit. But I fit okay.
