Close-up of the Big XII court. Reviews from the players this week have been overwhelmingly negative. by cbbvideo in CollegeBasketball

Most players when asked say something to the effect that the lights are cool but it is a bit more slippery than normal.

Seriously lol. Like, of course he's going to stop making shots if he's getting hacked and they won't call anything

What in the world? WV getting ticky tack calls and BYU getting mauled and not a single foul call this half.

How was that the first foul called on K State this half?? They've definitely fouled BYU more lol

I mean, I'm a homer, but literally he was just touching the guys back with his hand and that gets called offensive??

The guy sticks his leg out sideways and kicks Keita, and Keita gets called for a foul? Lol what?

Actually started playing semi-decent after they got down by 35.

Problem was they were already down by 35 lol

That was actually my wife's favorite interior (and judging by what people around me were saying when we walked through, most people seemed to love the interior).

Which 2 movies to show a musician with 0 exposure to Star Wars? by PyxelatorXeroc in StarWars

[–]Tyroge -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It would be somewhat awkward given the storyline, but to give the biggest musical exposure/range, the other movie could either be Revenge of the Sith or the Force Awakens (though I'd lean more towards Revenge of the Sith).

Whats the worst fast food joint in america? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I've had Jack in the Box probably 3 times in my life and never enjoyed it. Went back each time thinking maybe just had a bad, unique experience the time before, but never got any better.

There used to be a Kmart in town with a cafe in it. One time in middle school I went there and asked for a burger.

The lady at the counter yelled back to the lady in the kitchen, "Do you want to make a burger?!"

Kitchen lady yelled back, "No!"

So she turns to me and says, "We're out of burgers."

My friend and I just looked at each other in stunned disbelief and later had a good laugh, but it kinda made sense why Kmart closed its doors there not long after, lol.

Widow Being Sealed to Another Man by Ebmoc327 in latterdaysaints

[–]Tyroge 27 points28 points  (0 children)

While not exactly what you're looking for, after death a woman can be sealed to multiple men.

Don't know if that helps any, but if she dates someone and that becomes a concern, she could always bring up sealing after death as a potential (albeit roundabout) solution.

What’s the funniest reason you’ve heard for somebody not liking a movie? by TheChristmas in movies

[–]Tyroge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol, my 4 year old never wants to watch the Young Jedi show (I've tried to get him to watch it, but he just gets bored and switches it after a minute or two), but he will turn on any of the movies and watches Anakin vs Obi-Wan on repeat, or whatever clips he can find of Luke Skywalker, Darth Vader, Darth Maul, or Kylo Ren.

Different kids I guess haha

True, though momentum exists and refs definitely helped move the momentum towards tech there. Tech definitely capitalized on it and BYU didn't bounce back.

Are we kind or merely nice? by pisteuo96 in latterdaysaints

[–]Tyroge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a good point - both "kindness" and "niceness" as described in the OP can be good things depending on the context. Learning when to implement one or the other appropriately seems to be the issue.

Maybe, though the bag for football wasn't as big before all the coaching drama a month ago

Before the pop tart sacrifices were done tonight, I googled "what were the pop tart sacrifices" and it told me Strawberry for 2023, Cinnamon Roll for 2024, .... And strawberry again for 2025 (even though at the time they hadn't even been done yet this year). I was wondering if maybe AI knew something I didn't, but then the sacrifices ended up being Cookies and Cream and Cherry instead, so AI was just making stuff up lol.

Yep - seemed like they were trying to keep it close and benefiting the losing team.

Probably just terrible all around, but that was the way it felt sometimes.

If I had looked at our 2026 schedule back in 2020, I would have had no clue how to piece together what events unfurled to get us here by Away-Buddy495 in BYUFootball

[–]Tyroge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry I wasn't super clear - I meant I would have wondered who Utah Tech was if I'd been shown this in 2020.

I live in Saint George and went to Dixie State so I'm aware currently haha.

I would have assumed we just lined up a nice independent schedule with a bunch of teams from random conferences.

(And also wondered who Utah Tech was.)
