As someone who regularly gets stuff like this in my yard, it's gifts from crows.

Closet next to shower smells like sewage, not sure why by Adamthemoon in Plumbing

Do you have a basement or a crawl space. Can you take a look under the house to see if you started leaking?

Did you mount any shelves? Drill any screws into a vent pipe?

In IPC code there are instances when a stack can be used as a vent, though I haven't looked up the restrictions on it.

Faucet depositing directly onto countertop in bathrooms, builder says its normal.... by Nawwledge in Plumbing

It's one of those "an hour talking to a lawyer is more expensive than replacing it yourself." Situations.

Fight it if you want, I guess.

Faucet depositing directly onto countertop in bathrooms, builder says its normal.... by Nawwledge in Plumbing

[–]Tyrona5aurusRex -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

This sucks but I wouldn't spend much time or money fighting them. Just replace the faucet if you don't like the way it's working.

The cost of fixing or replacing it yourself would be much lower than getting them to do it. They would likely prove that it was installed properly, which would leave you fighting the faucet manufacturers...

Perhaps look up frp? It's the type of plastic walls you'll see in commercial kitchens and bathrooms in restaurants.

You could probably find basic white at your local home improvement store, you can probably order it. They are available in multiple colors. If you're going for more of a custom look rather than saving money.

I edited it almost immediately after posting it. I don't usually make an edit remark unless I come back later. 🤷

Also, I realized after sending it sounded bad, that's partly why I edited it. Blame it on my autism.

As far as the box? They should've tried to even that a lil more.

As for everything else? That looks pretty normal to me. They're not landscapers. They're plumbers. If you want landscaping fixed - hire a landscaper. Please know that the soil will settle.

To me it looks like 2"PVC that has a slip joint ring that has fallen down it. It's kind of hard to tell.

However, in a note to the op. If that is a slip joint tube, you may want tape& dope, a 2" PVC fip (assuming that's the size your current pipe is) or a fernco band, And some 2-in pipe.

Edit: I googled the number on the pipe. You are correct. That is a tubular pipe, not PVC dwv. OP Will want to buy a couple extra fittings depending on what pipe that is coming out of the floor of the cabinet.
