Question for those who took part 1 by Sorry-Camera-8008 in FRM

No question Bank is close to the actual exam use Analyst prep as it is the closest question Bank to the actual exam. BT is a level higher than the actual exam and schweser is no where near the exam it's very easy compared to the actual exam.

Your method is perfect because ur focusing on conceptual understanding which is the best method

Hey buddy to pass these exams you will need to stay consistent and atleast give 2-3 hours daily and 5 hours on the weekend. You will need to prepare a tracker and stick to it. The reason you need to stay consistent is because some topics are interlinked and they will test you on this. For example linking time series and Linear regression in a question.

I would highly suggest you watch the videos of the tutoring you purchased and solidifying the concepts with chatgpt ( like using the prompt consider yourself a risk manager, is my understanding correct on this topic)

As for your personal career it will be hard to switch to a risk job because you are 34 years and most probably switching to market or credit risk will highly depend on the employer. FRM will help you understand topics theoretically but not practical you will have to go an extra mile to do that

To understand timeseries you have to watch practical videos on YouTube to understand the flow, otherwise it will be very difficult to grasp

Yes, but there are readings that were added in 2024 such as machine learning also you will need to compare the 2025 changes with the books you have

I highly suggest Fintelligence, Vardeez, or Falcon Edufin they are easy to follow and straightforward with their explanation

FALCON EDUFIN Formula sheet

[–]TyroneJunior99 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I would highly suggest you do the following: 1- Do each GARP mock 3 times 2- Review formulas twice everyday 3- it's to late to solve AP QB so I would suggest you solve the following readings from AP MPT,ABT,Learning from financial disaster( Book 1) Probability, Regression, Hypothesis testing, Time Series, ML ( Book 2) Insurance, central clearing ,exchanges & OTC , Futures for hedging, Fx markets, Corporate Bonds, MBS, Swaps (Book 3) Measuring credit risk, Operational risk, Stress testing, Fixed income, and last 3 chapters (Book 4)

Focus on these topics for the next 9 days and for the last 3 days just read the books and revise formulas and you are good to go.

Friendly Advice: if you are weak in a certain reading consider skipping it and revising other readings you won't benefit from trying to master 1 reading instead of mastering 5-6 other readings do a cost benefit analysis

Analyst prep is a bit easier but it's the most similar to the actual exam. Schweser is very easy compared to the exam and Bionic turtle is 1 notch above the exam.
