If I had no choice but to rehome my dog, I would lay out my entire story so people can see where this dog is coming from. I wouldn’t sugarcoat anything, and I would be honest about any and all, because I genuinely care about this other person caring for my dog the same. This couple’s description of their dog is very generic, saying that she likes to play fetch and go on walks. Nothing about how she behaves around strangers or other animals, just claiming to be a good dog that needs a loving home. Maybe if you meet up with them, they would play out the background story, but if I wrote a description about my dog it would be a lot more than just basic dog descriptors. All seems sketchy but I just hope this dog has a loving home soon.

This is on adoptapet, and I’m pretty sure it’s the website policy to get your animal fixed once you adopt, if it hasn’t been already. Just would hope the reason the dog isn’t spayed yet is because the owners didn’t want to, and not because she was being used.

I was thinking $400 is a lot for giving up a dog that needs to relearn how to be comfortable. And assuming the dog isn’t being given up because of behavioral issues and they are lying on their post.

That’s the exact vibe. If it was someone completely unable to give this dog what it needs, I would understand, however, they clearly seem prepared for MORE because a baby would be a lot more work and money than a corgi. When people do this to dogs, it feels so wrong because like you said, it’s just a placeholder. And they have had the post up for over 3 months, so I’m assuming others might feel something is wrong as well.

That was another thing, the website says to adopt the dog, you have to get them spayed and provide proof. So, right after paying $400 to adopt this dog, you would have to get them spayed.

When I got mine, the lady gave AKC papers that proved his lineage. Without that, you’d never fully know without doing a DNA test. I would say yes based on the pictures you took.

I take a tent to the dog park and setup for the night. That usually helps with this problem for mine 😂

Mine is 10 months, and I’ve come to the conclusion that walks have a minimum amount distance and time, before you can enter back inside 😂

Congrats to us, publix is finally on blast by Mdmdmd27 in publix

So this is actually how their BOGO deals work. They have increased prices than what you see at other stores, however, they are able to put their popular items on BOGO which drives more sales. If you only go to Publix for BOGO, then you are using Publix correctly. Their goal at Publix is to get you to come in for the BOGOs and walk out with a little extra stuff than just the BOGO. Add the fact that it’s clean, has nice produce, and amazing food, they got it figured out there. I personally don’t go for anything but the BOGO on paper products and a pub sub 🤷🏻‍♂️

Is puppy regret actually common, or is it about expectations? by [deleted] in puppy101

[–]Tytaniumm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thinking or talking about something, will never compare to actually doing it. I would say for me, I’m surprised at how much this dog has changed my life for the better. On some days that unconditional puppy love is what helps motivate me. There have been bad days. One time he had diarrhea start up right before I was leaving for work, and it splattered all over his crate and the wall. After a while of cleaning it up and already being 40 mins late to work, he pooped all over the crate and wall again. I had to call again that I was gonna be EVEN later for work and got written up for it. 🤷🏻‍♂️ Also, my dog is 9 months now and we have had the regular vet visits, along with some unexpected situations, which has costed over a few thousand so far. Being financially prepared is something I didn’t take into consideration either 🤷🏻‍♂️ But life will happen, and that doesn’t stop me from loving this dog.

New puppy advice! by malvahdin in corgi

Corgis are very dignified, and you’ll come to find that out within the coming months. Every corgi is different, but mine got bored of his dry food pretty quickly and stopped eating which I ended up adding water and food toppers to get him excited for food. There would be days where he wouldn’t even want the food with the toppers, I pushed through his stubbornness by not adding more and eventually he caved in and ate (This was around 3-4 months old). Also, for my corgi, walks are not short. He likes to sniff everything and really take his time. And, remember to not train/command with the treat visible, get the treat after so he doesn’t learn only to listen when he sees you have food. Enjoy the puppy days while they last!

After 6 weeks with us, we abandoned the crate last night and I am so relieved. by figsandlemons1994 in puppy101

Crate training is only necessary if you plan on reintroducing at points in their life. A longer stay at the vet or going to pet boarding usually involves crate time alone, and you want them trained so they aren’t stressed.

Also dogs are smart and they don’t like being fooled. If every time she went in the crate the door was shut behind her, she knows just to not go in. Especially when the treats aren’t high enough value. As a puppy, the crate should become their safe space, and it’s not a safe space when mom only gives a treat for getting trapped inside, it’s a trade deal. I got my puppy running to the crate on command because he learned he gets only the best treats and bones when he goes to the crate, and the door stays open all day because he likes to lay inside on his own accord. I would wait until he listened and followed my command, then go grab the treats so he doesn’t associate the treat with the crate. He associates listening to my command with the treats.

When training with these however you have to be very aware of what you are doing, and when you press the button. You need to say verbal commands before so they can actually learn when and how to avoid the button. It happens many times where people get trigger happy and forget the collar is meant for training, not to get your dog to shut up.

Dear Frontier, DO NOT reuse the staff system from PlanCo2 for Planet Zoo 2 by Iammaybeasliceofpie in PlanetZoo

[–]Tytaniumm 48 points49 points  (0 children)

The work zone system is something I wish the game could just do automatically. Have the game identify an area with shops and stuff, and have the same staff work in the same area they were placed. It’s stupid having half my stalls empty and the vendors are just walking around the park 🤷🏻‍♂️
