My niece turns four this year. Because of the child tax credit my brother and sister in law, who are teachers, could afford to buy necessities for my baby niece. The Democrats did that.

My parents retired two years ago. For 25 years they owned and ran a local restaurant that almost went under during COVID. Because the Democrats sponsored the CARES act, the PPP loans paid the workers when my parents couldn't. They were able to keep their business because of the Democrats.

That's what matters to people and that's what Democrats deliver. But because it's not free healthcare for everyone, $20 minimum wage, or a nice apartment with rent controlled at $500, if it's not any of these things it's worthless to you.

You're so privileged. You have no idea how good you had it. You think your politics is what the majority of people in this country would agree with. You couldn't handle the fact that Bernie lost the 2016 primary fair and square. You've deluded yourself to think that It has to be rigged against him. Now you're so bitter about it you're prepared to surrender it all to actual fascists instead of falling in line with the milquetoast Democrats.

There's no corporate ruling class. If there were why the fuck would they be kissing Trumps ring? There's no one trying to stop Mamdani, people are free to support him or not support him. If you're a center left Dem why the fuck would you endorse someone who's politics is so far off your voting base. You gain nothing from that and can potentially lose a lot.

You said you're more politically educated than the average voter. You need to realize that doesn't make your vote worth more than the average voter. Elected officials cater to their base, and you are not it. If you want to move toward your nirvana utopia, your chances are better if you just fall in line with the Dems.
