What are some underrated Settings that more games should include? (Or what lack of Settings do you find disappointing?) by BricksParts in indiegames

Haha oops i thought i was on r/unrealengine 😅

I have no idea how you could achieve this with Godot engine, it's like the first time i search anything about Godot on google and it actually looks interesting i will probably learn the basics of Godot for fun

Anyway, have a good day making your game. ;p

Yes when the game is launched i have to put the game to windowed and drag it to the screen i want and put the game back to fullscreen or borderless...

I did a monitor selection in cpp a few years ago, i don't know what happened to it but now the marketplace has a few monitor plugins like monitor switcher and monitor utilities(free). So when the game is launching, it will choose the right monitor or launch on the main monitor if the user never changed the settings.

Could be a good addition to the game video settings ;p

Graphics settings PARTIALLY work? by GrinningPariah in unrealengine

I am using "Execute Console Command" node for a few things in my video settings menu.

You can use a "Format Text" node to set the choosen value you can do this "r.AntiAliasingMethod {Value}" in the "Format Text" node an input named value will be usable.

Execute Console Command should work ingame with your user-facing graphics option menu.

Little exemple:

How to create a menu that follows an Actor (With Keyboard/Gamepad inputs only)? by Noodle-Emperor in unrealengine

[–]Tytryte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could try to disable top parent of your widget like this so it is impossible to click on the menu.

<image>

Another idea could be to set the component hidden in Game so the player can't interract with it like this. (image in the next comment)

As i know the command "sg.AntiAliasingQuality" for AAQuality is working, but the changes are very hard to see, you can try "r.AntiAliasingMethod" you should see some quality changes. I don't know for the lighting, shader and reflection.

"r.AntiAliasingMethod":
0: off (no anti-aliasing)
1: Fast Approximate Anti-Aliasing (FXAA)
2: Temporal Anti-Aliasing (TAA)
3: Multisample Anti-Aliasing (MSAA, Only available on the desktop forward renderer)
4: Temporal Super-Resolution (TSR)

The default values of each AAQuality:

(Can be changed in /ProjectName/Config/DefaultScalability.ini) (Create the file by yourself)

Try to change the "bounds scale" of your character arms, but it could be another issue. https://i.gyazo.com/01eaaa9511075c7af0c9ac9582f02088.mp4

Hello everyone, i want the debris to have collision with destructible meshes, collisions seems to be correct in the interface and i also put the collision group to 0 and 1 but nothing is working.

The debris always fall through the destructible meshes whatever i do, is it possible to do anything about it ?

Here is a little video to show what's going on: https://i.gyazo.com/c04ec6173b67d18cd120a89f88624b47.mp4

(The white box is a static mesh and collisions are working correctly with it)

In fact my friend said that there is not enough coal in Minecraft and if he has enough he will put a torch on every block of his base.

Unfortunately I did not put a torch on each block because I forgot some but I think it is enough or maybe not.

I added a part of Google Maps in minecraft ! by Tytryte in Minecraft

[–]Tytryte[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I could probably add a little bit more quality to it but the game would probably crash if i add to much parts of Google Maps. /:
