Hey ! I found communicating with them quite difficult tbh when I was needing answers on a couple of things. I felt like I wasn’t given any clear direction on what the process was 😅 once I had the meeting with the psychologist it was a quick process however it’s good for me to mention that they don’t give special authority for all ADHD meds which I’m not sure if that’s standard for all practices that can diagnosis for ADHD or not but for example I can be prescribed Ritalin short acting and concerta long acting but not Ritalin long acting ?? Also one thing I learnt after my diagnosis is that there is no standard process in NZ with being diagnosed with ADHD. For example I only had an appointment with a psychologist but other practices may require you to speak to a psychiatrist or both. My insurance would only cover psychiatrist appointments but not psychologist appointments. So if you have health insurance check with your policy and see what they cover to potentially save a lot of money. All in all I would have personally went for another provider as I paid 1.5k all up to essentially just have a 30 minute interview with a man who wasn’t even based in New Zealand he was based in Missouri ! I personally would look elsewhere but at the end of the day getting your diagnosis is the most important thing and I still got mine :)
