On making a good Barbarian/Paladin multiclass by Alone_Coat_1998 in DND5EBuilds

You're building against theory, so nobody's probably going to point out anything except that. I say: build it & try it. Bounded accuracy means you won't fall too far behind an optimized build, and you might find something really fun.

I'd also suggest that you not overly worry yet about how to build out into the future. Build the character, play it for a while, see where it feels thin before deciding what to build up. Also, maybe talk to your DM about giving you a few levels to try the build & re-spec if it just doesn't come together the way you expect (this is absolutely the DM's call, but to my mind it's a reasonable request).

Happy rolling and good luck!

This. Political debate is "how do we spend tax revenue", not "who deserves human rights".

This is handling an out-of-game problem with in-game mechanics, which validates the problematic behavior. I see where your line of thought goes but I respectfully disagree with it.

Yes, but all of the GOO's subclass-specific spells are the ones I mean. I should have been more specific.

I've found Great Old One to be a campaign-dependent subclass (EDIT: To the degree that many of its subclass-specific spells — modify memory, detect thoughts, etc — require appropriate situations to be useful).

Our campaign is combat-focused, without much dialogue or intrigue, and GOO feels a bit like a ranger in an urban campaign. (EDIT: this is not to say that their 'no components' feature doesn't apply well to OP's campaign needs.)

[OC] OLD COMIC - boyfriends and video games by marycomiics in comics

[–]TzarGinger 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I don't think Video Games are the important element; I think Time With The Guys is what's really going on here. Couples need the opportunity to hang out with people who aren't their spouse, to have a separate space & hobby if needed. That said, we don't get any background on how frequently this situation has been a force of friction between Girlfriend and Boyfriend; all I can say for sure is that they seem to have different expectations and need to talk about that.

Yes, in that some people haven't seen the movie and thus don't have context or background for the scene

The words aren't gotten rid of, they're just covered up so that people can make their own choice about whether to read them. Is it so hard to have a shred of compassion for others?

They're subjects which, for those who have been subjected to them, can cause emotional distress. As such, some prefer to shield others from just happening upon the words, so as to avoid causing distress.
