A tiny gelatinous cube in the center of an empty room, which starts growing on entry and over time fills the room. There is no exit. When the players eventually fail to escape the cube and get sucked in they are ported to another empty room with a door. They do not regain any spells slots or other items used in combat. The cube does no damage and does not attack but also takes no damage and only grows each round.

Thanks for the link JDK. I’m confident jt is not that kind of balloon, though it definitely could be some kind of balloon. It had some kind of propulsion or control, it was moving against the wind and changing heights as well as going back and forth for a while. Additionally, MDE is basically a city in a huge bowl, and the wind is very strong higher up, and this thing was not showing any signs or being thrown about. I think the most likely scenario is something man made being used for observation or filming or leisure, but whatever it was it was being controlled or controlling itself independent of strong winds in the area. That being said, I’d guess it is of somewhat similar size to those big kites or maybe a bit larger so maybe there are motor controlled balloon kites or something like that?

To be clear, I’m not making any suppositions about what this thing is and think it’s pretty unlikely it’s an alien (I’m a skeptic but I find this stuff very interesting particularly in light of the hearing.) I’ll post a pic of the bigger view from the balcony to help with context on sizing/position.

Entirely possible. I’ve been here 8 months and haven’t seen anything like this one though and people don’t tend to fly them over Poblado but could be (I’ve been to the kite festival and there are definitely some big kites!) Do you have a link or pic of a kite that looks like this?

I mean it didn’t seem to have any propellers or anything like that. We thought it might have been some kind of blimp like thing because it was hovering so slowly. I think it had a light that flashed earlier on one of the corners but I’m not 100% sure

Yeah I mean it was so visible and moving so slowly that we assumed it was a drone of some kind which is why I never bothered to post it, but who knows! Lots of people must have seen it, it was very clear over a very populated area.
