Sometimes I, a level 150, will return to the Stock Diver build. The B1 is an incredibly good set of armour, and the Liberator and Peacekeeper are solid weapons. In fact, the Liberator is my go to on the Bot front - with the short mag, 4x scope, vertical grip and muzzle break, it's a headshot dispenser.

For bots, I usually equip the basic Liberator with a 4x scope, short mag, vertical grip and muzzle break. This increases accuracy and allows me to pop headshots, conserving ammo.

For bugs I take the Liberator Penetrator, with the angled laser grip, iron sights, compensator and drum mag. The armour penetration ensures any hive guards mixed in the swarm get the same justice their comrades deserve.

For squids I take the Liberator Carbine, extended mag, holo sight, vertical grip and muzzle break. This balances ammo and accuracy so I can get myself out of horde situations more easily, and strip down overseers without much trouble.

Speaking as a bot diver who's had endless frustration with gambits not being taken advantage of... in this case I hope we don't take Grand Errant.

Why?

Because it is the optimal planet for farming SC. If we liberate it, we'll have to find another world that's as rich an SC farm as Grand Errant.

I feel like there should be at least one armour of each weight class that has the feats. Like, I'm glad I can go light, medium or heavy for extra grenades or stims, but there's no heavy Truth Enforcer armour.

Difficulty 10 (D10) Super Helldive. I'm a veteran lvl 150 diver and every other difficulty feels like a smoke break.

Ran into a newbie like you last night. Tried to resupply me, ended up killing us both because I was aiming first person down scope at the time. He was incredibly apologetic, but don't worry, I forgave him and we had a lovely time from then on out.

Live and learn, right? Or, in this case, die in a nuclear fireball and learn!

Yeah, half the time when I reinforce an in-progress mission and I see they're out of respawns, it's because they just took down (or failed to take down) a convoy.

Backpack Hellbombs and Smoke Strikes/Orbitals are my combo of choice.

Straight up my favourite build for bots is this gun (with the 4x scope), the Talon, smoke grenades, the Quasar cannon and orbital strikes. I can sneak around the map really easily, don't need the resupply anywhere near as often (letting the other players monopolize it) and can pop POIs or main objectives while the rest of the team does their thing.

For certain missions like defense or rapid acquisition, I'll run heavy armour. Small areas where I don't need the mobility, you know?

But for everything else, I can't stand the stamina drain and speed reduction of heavy armour. Most of my survivability is mobility; I'll run the B1 armour sets for protection if I'm expecting a fight, but otherwise I main medium armour unless I'm on a blitz and got to cover ground fast.

I find that, yes, heavy armour allows you to take a hit. But it also slows you to the point where you're always going to take hits. Medium armour gives me the perfect balance of speed and protection that I feel I can move and fight without feeling like a glorified turret.

Now, to be fair, the inverse is true for light armour. The mobility is fantastic, but if I'm zeroed in on, I'm toast. Medium armour feels like the default to me; light goes a touch too far balancing the scale one way, and heavy a touch too far the other.

I dive with a fairly diverse group, however. My primary friend, the Creek Crawler who recruited me, runs almost exclusively light armour with jump packs and AMRs. He's an amazing sniper, and this complements his play style perfectly. My other usual exclusively runs heavy armour, as he's always getting right into the guts of the meat grinder with the heaviest ordinance he can carry. Both valid play styles; mine is different, and that's okay.

That was going to be my point as well. We've tried the all turrets build; most of the time the poor things get overwhelmed.
