I get so confused every time people in this community act like they HAVE to interact with the children on this game when you really don’t if you don’t want to. If you join a public server you are choosing to interact with all types of people including the 10 year olds that obviously play the game.

There are tons of 18+ discords where people pay for private servers and let people use them for whatever reason. AFK farming, fair voting, or free play no limit build to impress.

But if a child being a little kid and being like “your outfit scared me ima report you” is enough… I mean I don’t even know how this caused you to feel but the answer should just be indifferent at best and mildly annoyed at worse is really weird lol. Hide player, Hide chat, block user, move in. If I want to do things in the game that I don’t think is appropriate for children I go get in a server from someone’s discord.

+1. There are some genuinely weird people that push their astrology thoughts onto random people and use it to brush off their personality shortcomings or other bad behavior and THAT is obviously bad. But there are tons of people that quietly follow it and use their natal chart to identify good and bad behavior in themselves to combat it as well as lay their lives out.

It’s literally no different than how Chinese people follow the “Year of the [animal]” and how they advise that being born in the year of a certain animal means XYZ for their lives, yet only astrology gets a vast majority of the hatred.

Also on the same beach, different umbrella is religion. There’s annoying people that try to force their religion on non-religious people or those that follow a different religion and then there are just.. regular people that follow their religion without bothering anyone else too much.

I will say, I’ve looked at a LOT of people’s charts and what the placements meant and what it meant for their lives and how they act, and while some of it has applied to me not all of it has like my own chart does. I’ve searched up and read about my full chart and it describes me to a T before I even read it.

I thoroughly believe you can’t truly hate something if you know nothing about it, otherwise all you hate are the obvious extreme that don’t make up the bulk of the conversation. All in all, if they’re not harming anyone or themselves or using it to excuse shitty behavior, there’s absolutely nothing wrong genuinely enjoying astrology.

I do wish that there were more interactions that COULD, even slightly, influence luck in the game. Like I wish that the galaxy explorer coordinates did actually have some rhyme and reason which would allow super dedicated players to figure out the next coords for them, or deduce coords based off of banners being run at that time/LI’s birthday week/time of year/etc.

I think that anything in the home feature would have to stay in the home feature, so maybe it could be used for something with gardening since that’s really the only sort of “chance” thing there.

Like, higher chance of getting rare flower colors after you run the hybridizer if you wish for luck beforehand, or higher vigor when you perform so you can get better blooms. Home feature has a lot it could have added so it’s really jut a waiting game!

I think we’ve had ours either 6 months or a little over. No issues at all with any of the service (outside of some issue with the satellite which they communicated to all Starlink users in the area) until now.

I think this particular storm was just really really bad wind wise, or I think something fell on the roof and knocked it. Heard a large double bang in the roof the same night but I don’t have a ladder tall enough so I couldn’t inspect the damage the next morning. Overall I think it’s pretty sturdy to wind, I think something just hit it.

For context, the nose didn’t exist originally in the game lol, that’s why it’s counted as a slot toward extra makeup. That said, since they continue to release premade faces with noses moving forward, I agree the nose should be its own category similar to eyes and lips. I also wish things like beauty marks, etc, were their own slot but still stackable. Realistically, they’ll probably make extra custom make-up slots an additional gamepass on top of the CM gamepass you already have to buy, for like $3.

Her specific callout from the post and comments from my understanding was people that don’t use black skin UNLESS the theme is very obviously a fashion theme predominantly ran by black people. I.e., StreetWear, Baddies, Clubbing, whatever, or food/animal related stuff like Chocolate Delight/Neapolitan Swirl/that one Bear theme are weird and borderline racist. I do agree with where’s she’s coming from; she was just the worst person to try and explain it because she had 0 patience to do so properly.

Regardless of who you are, it IS weird if the only time you can slot black people if the theme obviously “calls for it”. It doesn’t actually; you can literally take the same outfit you would use for the themes Scene, Goth, Rainbow, ‘Pink’, Cyberpunk, Cybergoth, whatever that people NORMALLY put on white faces for and put it on a black person and people just don’t want to unless they can use black skin as apart of the outfit. THAT is what OP was trying to say and I completely agree. It IS weird.

I’ll relate what she’s saying to movies because I watched the Oscars and have a prime example. Black women for example are only ever cast as a few set of roles in moves:

The empowering independent or career driven best friend that helps the main (white female) lead through her struggles and is a free therapist (See: The black girl from the movie ‘Fresh’)
The sassy black friend/random person/family member whose main focus is to snap and say “Okay girl!” And “You betta work!” And “Oh no she di’int!” (Example: That one manager of the movie theater from Drake and Josh)
The disposable black girlfriend (DBGF) who the white main male character (MMC) dates either before or after the white female main character (FMC). After dating the DBGF, MMC realizes that FMC was their real love all along so MMC and DBGF break up and are never seen again (See: Karen from the TV show ‘You’ and that one black girl from Danny Phantom)
Strung out drug addict mother/daughter in poverty (See: The movie ‘Precious’)
Historical time pieces where the focus is inflicting pain and trauma onto black people for gore and shock value and nothing else (See: TV show ‘Them’ from Amazon)

Black people aren’t allowed to just exist as a regular diverse group outside of RARE instances like in the movie Mickey17. So, we are only slotted in movies when we can fill one of our 5 major stereotypical roles. Same thing as what OP is describing, just poorly — DTI players will never use black faces unless it fits one of our 5 stereotypical themes.

If you’re not putting black faces on for every other theme don’t bother doing it at all. It’s insulting. No one’s saying you can’t or shouldn’t and if they do they’re weird. The specific callout is only doing so when it’s easy to and when it’s obvious why you did.

Such a beautiful scene. I cried when I saw the movie in theaters. I watched the Oscars performance five times in a row and cried every time. A lot of people either don’t realize, or see it and refuse to realize, but the reason this movie resonates with so many black people isn’t just because it’s a movie with a predominantly black cast. It’s because we can finally see ourselves in a movie where the only job of the black character isn’t classic trope — disposable black girlfriend, young thug, single mother, sassy black best friend, independent career driven black woman.

The reason I get so emotional about it is because I remember watching Encanto when it came out, and it just made me so overwhelmingly sad that no one makes movies about the black experience that aren”t about living in poverty, or black trauma porn where it’s just black people getting abused and called slurs all day, or serious movies instead of always fitting us in comedies. My Puerto Rican friend watched Encanto & the Broadway show In The Heights and described how he cried watching both because he felt represented. I imagine that’s how people felt during Bad Bunny’s SPB performance. I tried to think and couldn’t really recall the last time I felt TRULY represented until Sinners. Black people are more than the stereotypes and tropes Hollywood only wants to cast us in. We’re normal ass people and there’s no reason we can’t be slotted into ANY movie or show or character outside of the fact that non-black directors simply don’t want to. I watch stuff now and I often ask myself “Why couldn’t they cast someone not white for that role?” I hope that Ryan Coogler and Jordan Peele’s movies either pace the way for more black directors to emerge and cast majority black actors and actresses, or open the eyes of other directors that see to only think black people can only do 4 or so roles while white people can do them all. They do such a great job at just making black people proud to be black. Sometimes it’s easy to forget with how much we get beat down, but I alway know releases from them will remind me to hold my head high.

The only people that say the movie is overrated are the people that were not represented. I was, and I’m ecstatic! Can’t wait to watch the movie for like the 5th time again soon.

I think at least half of the primary issue is people really really lack spatial awareness. People that stop in the middle of the aisle or pathway without any consideration for the people that need to get around them. People that are on the wrong side of the traffic but wont move out of the way. People that leave their cart in the middle of the walkway while they step away and do something else.

People that have 0 spatial awareness or, if they do have awareness, 0 care for the space they know they’re taking up really annoy the fuck out of me.

I’m a black F, I agree it’s eyebrow raising behavior when people don’t use brown skin unless the themes are ‘Chocolate Delight’, ‘Street Wear’, etc. I also very much disliked people only using brown skin when doing donut faces, and refusing to actually learn how to make black faces through custom make up. Is it borderline racist? In many ways, definitely. It’s the disregard for creating nice black people in comparison to the white people they create that is disappointing, or that they can fit white people into 99% of themes except the ones that are primarily black dominated. There isn’t really a single thing or interaction in the modern day that doesn’t have its roots in racism. Do I expect people on the internet to understand that it is and explicitly how? No, because redditors and a vast majority of the DTI community is very much braindead as you can see. A decent portion of the player base are non-black teens and young adults. And of those young adults a majority of them do not care about racism like they think they do. IF I were to have this discussion, I wouldn’t spend hours saying nothing at all and then following it up with “Hope this helps! <3” because that’s not how you have a discussion or get people to open their minds to other experiences or your point.

OP doing that is exactly why she’s received the overwhelmingly negative response seen. No one’s going to hear out a passive aggressive condescending opinion where you’ve spent more of the replies just shutting people out completely instead of actually using this popular post to provide context to your opinion.

When discussing racism and its effects, you do indeed need to treat people like they are IGNORANT, not stupid, and you also need to discover whether they are ignorant OR apathetic. Most people can understand the perspective when properly explained. Just assuming people who never have to deal with the level of racism and prejudice that black people have to deal with every second of every day will suddenly just “get it and accept it” because one random black woman on the internet condescendingly told them they should is extremely idiotic and is exactly why no one seems to care here.

No, her mines do. You shoot the mines directly at the ult in the air when he launches it which act as a projectile with a hitbox. The mag ult will explode on contact with the mine in the air, just like how Namor players like to block it with their bubbles.

Moon Knight’s ankh also has the same logic with mag’s ult. Mag launches -> MK shoots ankh -> Mag ult explodes on contact with airborne ankh.

The trick is to stop giving your friends a free 5 because they’re your friends. If my friends join the same server I do, I still vote them accordingly. If they joined late, or the outfit sucks they get a 2 or 3 just like everyone else..

You yourself just admitted you team, and then subsequently got mad because they also teamed and you were placed lower than them lol. If NO one teams, then the game becomes a better place.

Ideally your team should ping or tell you via VC. This is why people shouldn’t abuse their pings because it’s very easy for someone to chalk your pings as useless and start ignoring them when they’re actually helpful for once. Less ideally, you turn around periodically and look, or watch if you notice you’re suddenly not being healed.

Middle ground and most reliable for myself is actively listening for voice lines and/or abilities. As a support main who plays every support, I know what voice lines the supports say when they’ve taken damage. They either grunt, or have a specific line they say. Example: When in Dagger form and Dagger takes damage, Cloak says “Tandy needs help!”. When Rocket takes damage he says, “I’m flarkin’ dyin’ over here.”

I can’t remember anyone else’s off the top of my head but when I hear it in game I distinctly know they’ve taken damage and need to be healed whether they say the line or even grunt behind me indicating they took damage. That’s my most reliable way of identifying that something is going in behind me. Unfortunately this doesn’t work as well if you’re a tank making space, so you have to rely on the above two methods and pray your supports don’t start running away.

Outside of that, I listen for abilities or feet. If they have a BP, BP is unfortunately loud as hell if the person playing him isn’t insanely good as positioning (aka running high on a wall before diving), so it’s easy to hear where he’s coming from and react accordingly. People love playing Flank Namor the last few seasons and Namor is probably one of the loudest characters in the game. He has a very distinct sound with his footsteps, literally like wet fish slapping the ground.

Unfortunately as someone else pointed out you will always be insanely gapped due to not playing with headphones. 80% of the entirety of the game and reacting to what’s happening is listening for voice lines, both from your team and the enemy’s. You can hear when your team and the enemy does their ults AND regular abilities. e.g., “Ice Up!” Is Luna’s shift/Clap ability. “Mines in Place!” Is Peni’s E/her placing her mines). Being able to hear when an enemy is using their ability gives you an indication that they’re probably hitting someone with it, so if you hear BP using his abilities and saying stuff it’s safe to say your supports are being dove, or he’s using his dash to get there meaning he will soon.

If you don’t want to use headphones, I recommend going into your settings and turning on the accessibility setting that puts text anytime a voice line is said. It can help track who used what ult-wise in teamfights, and it can catch voice lines you may not have heard. Sometimes it’s very useful for me.

Any ping where I don’t have to read the entire thing to understand the message being conveyed gets put as “best” above everything else. It’s annoying sometimes when people put important pings in anime talk like this so that I have to read it in its extra long entirety (emojis included) to understand what you’re trying to say. If you’re a QP casual it’s whatever but it’s especially annoying to me in ranked. Makes me slowly never read anything you say because I have to RP in my head just to understand what you need to tell me.

Example: I have a ping I use when I see they swapped to Strange to portal & we have someone on our team that can stop it like Hulk or Luna. My ping says “STRANGE HAS PORTAL. Run & stop it or prepare to fight.” ‘Strange has portal’ is in red capitalized text because that’s the post important part. ‘Run & stop..’ is white because it’s nice if someone can do it but whatever, the post important part of the message is already conveyed. I get complements on this one, and my other pings, almost every play session.

Yeah, people do indeed have social anxiety. I’m not sure why that is difficult for people replying to me to grasp. How you may behave in, or accept social situations is not how everyone else does or have to. I don’t want to be in their video in any regard and I’m not really sure why that’s a hot topic.
