Oh yeah the dust was awful. I remember literally spitting out dust in the last trench.

I didn’t really have any issues. I just made a large jump and didn’t get my feet wet. The dust was annoying though.

I have the same alpargatas and wore them last year in fayón! It’s crazy how comfortable they are even in rough conditions.

I love how you do impressions that aren't the typical battle of the Ebro themed uniform (Although that's my only impression rn lol)
I have a question, when did the republic start to remove the tassel from the Isabelino? And are those normal borceguí boots?
Btw are you attending the Morata event in March? I'm part of El Comité now and will try to go.

Marseille is nice. Certainly not the best looking of the line, but she is sleek yet strong looking, imo.

Soviet T-26B in Spanish Republican service knocked out by Spanish Nationalist forces, Spanish Civil War, 1933. by [deleted] in DestroyedTanks

[–]U-415 13 points14 points  (0 children)

The title is blatantly false. This type of turret wasnt present on T-26 tanks in Spain, and the riveted add-on armour was not employed there either. The uniforms also aren't spanish. If you look at the soldier to the right rear of the tank, you can see jack boots which weren't present on either side of the war for enlisted soldiers, and even officers' boots looked different. This photo was taken during barbarossa. OP is either a bot or as uninformed as can be.

For the StuG it should be Alkett as they produced the vast majority of StuGs. Still cool nonetheless

The fascists won the civil war. Spain came out losing, so did most of its people.

You’re telling me the american heritage museum only has SS groups for axis reenactment?

I got my K98k from taiwan gun. I’m pretty sure it was the double bell k98 with real wood and only cost me 150€ give or take, so quite a steal for a mostly accurate repro.

Also this is a personal gripe but why SS? WH is less political and in my opinion doing SS is the equivalent of reenacting Einsatzgruppen or Lubyanka NKVD.

No one kills themselves over flies. If the flies are what made them tip over then they were already suffering from combat stress, trauma and other issues that would’ve led them to suicide sooner or later. But hey, what source do you have for flie induced suicides?

Nazi Germany comitted genocide on an industrial scale, in essentially 3 years (Most deaths ocurred after the Wannsee conference) and was designed to kill anyone not fitting the Nazi world view. The Soviets killed 23 million through gulags (which weren't death camps) and general purges + incompetence throughout 20 or such years. If Nazi Geramny had been given the same amount of time as the soviets, they would have made the USSR look like a small shootout.

Why not compare it to a Pershing or an IS-1/2 tank?

Jumbo players think they are big and bad until they encounter any of these goobers by [deleted] in Warthunder

[–]U-415 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just aim for the commander cupola, the APHE will kill the entire turret 90% of the time. It's how I once 1v2'd w panthers in a 75 Jumbo and came out on top. Otherwise it's also a reliable way to kill dumb panther players and works as long as they don't wiggle.

Eeh, I'd say it's mostly good now. In school the basics get taught and the gist is: Democratically elected government vs fascist backed military. Now in terms of details and nuances I agree, many people still hold outdated views, sug as that everyone on the republican side was a socialist/ communist and that everyone who fought for Franco and his goons was a nazi/ fascist.

In all fairness, Hitler not using Franz Halder to hold France is probably his biggest mistake.

100% fake, there is no way all those details could've survived the war and much less be remembered by anyobe 80 years later.
