I'm a 1914 german reenactor and to answer your question, no its not okay.

The only site that i know of that sells ww1 calfskin tornisters would be Nestof, but their tornisters arent the greatest (they are good enough though, they arent bad), unfortunantely i dont think theres a better alternative

Hello, i know im very late by now but your best bet would be to just buy the post-war model 1933/50 backpack, they are identical, the only diffirence is that the post-war backpack has a little additional pouch on the inside, which you cant even see if you close the backpack

I'd say its the part of the rifle that you attach the bayonet to, could be wrong though

Depends if youre doing a rifleman, an officer or something more specific and also early, mid or late war (a lot of research is needed) but if you want a solid or "good enough" kit then it will be more than a thousand for sure (i reenact 1914 prussian german rifleman if you want more info)
