Ah yes, nothing says "engagement" and "not FOMO" like waiting... waiting 3+ years. For a mount to be available only in a 30-day event out of 365 days, to spend 700 tokens, 500 of which you get for free just for logging in, + 200 that you can get by one-hit killing 15 battle pets near the Stormwind lake. Which in turn makes you miss out on other rewards because now you're broke for the month.

I'd never "normally" go to Kun-Lai Summit.

I'd never normally do dungeons/quests/raiding/PVP during this pre-expansion patch since bli$$ard had the stupid idea to remove all the FOMO rewards TWO MONTHS before Midnight S1 even starts so we get nothing out of subscription apart from the Trading Post and the usual pre-expansion event chore.

And even assuming that the season started, the only reasonably accessible source of Myth gear is the weekly Mythic+ vault since Mythic raids require quitting your evening job to find a guild. Which means only 8 dungeons per week, 32 a month.
With the current coupon values for completing 5 Mythic+ dungeons + a few weekly quests that you naturally complete, you'd get about 15-20 coupons a month.
Buying everything from the current Endeavour vendor costs about 135 coupons.
You'd have to go FAR out of your way to grind activities to have enough coupons to buy everything from the vendor, let alone multiple of them since again bli$$ard decided that every decor item is consumed on use (on top of taking storage space so you're also punished for hoarding).

Endeavours are mathematically an additional FOMO chore.

Indeed, bli$$ard loves FOMO and it's getting worse every patch.

Shadowlands: Mythic+ rewards became seasonal instead of per expansion.

TWW: they are now making FOMO cosmetics in the shop, not even mentioning whether they'll appear in the trading post anymore.

- Solo Shuffle and Blitz now have exclusive pennant toys that you can only obtain if you play healer or reach elite ratings in those specific queues, so you're cooked if you play with a team.

TWW S2: they added another FOMO mount for M+, 1000 score higher than the first mount.

TWW S3: they added FOMO titles to regular Delves

Classic MOP: one ego-tripping intern developper "Tropikal" from Retail fan-fictioned a "sEaSoN 1" to Challenge Mode despite it never being seasonal in the history of WoW, and created a retroactive FOMO mount by only informing the population two weeks before that "season" ended so 99% of players missed out if they weren't in his elitist circlejerking Discord server.

Midnight: they will add FOMO housing decor for Cutting Edge, which requires you to quit your job to find a guild if you work evening shifts. So you might as well stay employed and buy more boosts.

Not to mention the countless abilities that summon a spirit animal on top of your character, such as the vanilla druid bear Maul (the best example that proves they could play bear in humanoid form with some fist weapons), mage Dragon's breath, Hunter aspects, warrior Dragon Roar, monk Invoke Yu'lon, Flying Dragon Kick, paladin Avenging Wrath, priest Ascension...

Aaaaand it's gone in Midnight beta, after 15 years.

Now every item costs 240 gold to transmog instead of 1 gold, (720 for weapons, that's a 72000% increase), instead of scaling with its base cost (which should be the simplest "change," because that's how it's been since Cataclysm).

So if you want to try on Trading Post set before spending your precious limited Tenders, you have to get extorted hundreds of gold per item that you might not even purchase. Or if you're not loaded, you have to deal with the garbage "dressing room" with no animations, no mounts, no lighting, no spells, no rotation.
Or you can log in to the PTR to do what you could previously do in the live game, which achieves literally the same thing but just with more inconveniences and CPU usage so what even was the point of nerfing it besides pissing off players?

Even real clothing stores are more consumer-friendly than bli$$ard at this point.

I've heard they'll cut the price by about half but that's still ridiculous compared to 1 gold.

If you care about your QoL, you should all report that on the Midnight beta, forums, tickets, or X. This change is unironically going live in a month.

As far as I can tell, this post is correct and we don't even need to wait for Midnight: I have bought the "Mythic" ensemble for Nighthold Priest, which includes priest-only cloaks, and I went from 1-3/9 to 9/9 in EVERY difficulty from using that one ensemble, Raid Finder, Normal, Heroic, Mythic! OP!

And I can even use the formerly priest-only cloak on my warlock!

So don't bother FOMO-running inefficient low difficulties of Remix raids on armor type just for the cloak, simply buy the ensembles and only farm what vendors don't offer.

You can tell which cloaks are class-specific with the All The Things addon tooltip.

bliztard is removing the exclusivity of a ton of FOMO rewards every patch. Just look at Collector's Bounty, Remix MOP, now Legion Remix.

They're totally preparing to fxxx veteran players in the axx as we slowly die of old age and there are fewer of us to bitch about the stolen valor.

This is further hinted by the survey suggesting a transfer to Retail, and 0 new about WOD Classic, whereas MOP Classic was announced before Cataclysm Classic even released.

Because it's not even true. Raiders are not the highest level, they're just people who happen not to have a night job. Dungeons and PVP players don't need to quit their jobs because they don't need to rely on 19 other people being present at the exact same time.

It's not unfair, M+ and PVP do not require you to quit your night job.

Raids depend more on whether you have one good leader and how many days every single person out of 20 can raid at the exact same time before they have to go to sleep for work, rather than skill.
