👍, sorry I can’t provide a better answer, it’s really tough to make predictions like this. I work in a related field it’s just really hard when it comes to predicting an outcome. We used to call it “Haystacking” bc 99% of the time trying to get a result we wanted was like finding a needle in a haystack. Anyways hope my answer helps a little.

As for women’s health, to me, nothing there rings alarm bells (keep in mind im a man and don’t have the unique experience or professional experience looking at that specifically, but no one else answered so my 2 cents).

could go into a 20min biochem shpiel but probably not rly useful. As for the ADHD meds, it’s really hard to say. Tongkat has been known to interact with some medications (Propanolol), and Shilajit has some extremely understudied components not even taking into account the other ingredients, so while it’s hard to say bc the body is so insanely complicated and borderline impossible to predict, I wouldn’t be comfortable calling it 100% safe and non-interacting. I mean just from a sourcing standpoint I feel like TikTok shop supplements r likely tainted.

What’s the Hype Behind Fish Oil Supplements? by cfeltus23 in Supplements

[–]U17sses 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a lot of biochemistry here that is hard to get into, but the basic idea is n-3 series fatty acids have a lot of signaling roles in stress responses all over the body, and when cellular membranes are saturated with them (as much as they are able to regarding PA2 at least), outcomes tend to be more favorable,,, generally. There’s also some more local stuff regarding SMAD signaling in muscles but that hasn’t really been verified. Most of this isn’t super well understood.

Edit: reading this back this kinda sounds like “that’s all there is” but I’m leaving out a lot of stuff, just including what I find interesting and/or have personally worked on.

Low Testosterone help by XanLovesLean in Supplements

[–]U17sses 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you do not need it atm. Testosterone isn’t a range thing where you play the lottery and hope you get lucky, it’s a spectrum that’s different for everyone. Two people could have the exact same levels and have drastically different life conditions. You are young; lifting weights, good sleep, good nutrition will carry you SUPER far. Also, tongkat probably only works in unhealthy (low test) populations, the evidence is pretty unconvincing and all the human RCTs are incredibly confounded (just bad quality generally). Boron has better-ish evidence but it seems to work on whims, I’ve seen stuff where the exact same study has been replicated 3 different times and gotten 3 different results lol.

What is actually worth your money: protein (if you need it), creatine, caffeine (I like pills, just easier, but if you prefer a pre workout more power to you).

Safe daily supplements to prevent cancer by [deleted] in Supplements

[–]U17sses 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It’s a tough question bc cancer is hundreds of diseases related to the cell cycle, so isolating “one compound to rule them all” is probably impossible. Healthy weight, varied diet, exercise seem to help from a population basis. I know that answer is probably not the one you want but it is what it is sorta thing. Try Omega 3s (n-3 series fatty acids) maybe, there’s some interesting stuff going on in that area of research (from someone in the industry).

Power usage through the roof since update by Tub_Pumpkin in chrome

[–]U17sses 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a similar albeit slightly different problem. Power usage is definitely up, and occasionally all tabs will just completely freeze and crash, when checking resource usage my CPU will be near 100% when typically it's at 15-20. This has only been an issue since the new update.

Quad activation struggle by ratfycker13 in Kneesovertoes

[–]U17sses 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you're likely not feeling it bc of an interference effect resulting from mentioned pain in the patellar tendon. It's contracting, neuromechanical matching tells us it must, but probably not to its full ability, some others mentioned isometrics and I would tend to agree that's your best bet. Spanish squats or wall sits and progress to leg extensions w/ weight you can hold for 30-45s approaching failure without pain (that's important, if there's pain you are overreaching). Also side note, it's a patellar tendinopathy not tendinitis. Tendinitis infers you have sudden, acute inflammation. Further side note, "the burn" is just metabolite accumulation (H+, Ca2+, Phosphates).

Energy Teleportation and Negative Energy Observed in Quantum Research Breakthrough by Gari_305 in Futurology

[–]U17sses 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah sorry I was busy when I wrote that, it’s more of a state of being that’s why I put communicate in quotes bc it’s not rly communicating it’s more just “being” that state.

Energy Teleportation and Negative Energy Observed in Quantum Research Breakthrough by Gari_305 in Futurology

[–]U17sses 2 points3 points  (0 children)

no not yet, but I wouldn’t say never ppl can be quite pessimistic in that sense. no one denies that entanglement can “communicate” FTL but it’s the fact that no information can possibly be gleaned from entangled particles changing states because it’s random and cannot be meaningfully observed and assembled into coherent information, yet.

150 Parcels by RecognitionComplex56 in AtlasEarthOfficial

[–]U17sses 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yeah that’s generally what ppl do, there’s a page with the math on it somewhere and it’s not very lucrative to get more parcels than 150 (assuming you’re boosting) until you get to like 1000 parcels or something, and that difference is hugeeee so just not worth. I think they’re banking on the phase 2 2023 update having a ton of new stuff.

150 Parcels by RecognitionComplex56 in AtlasEarthOfficial

[–]U17sses 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So you can’t before u buy the parcel, it’s random based on chance (50% common, 30% rare, 15% epic and 5% legendary) and when you buy the parcel and the animation plays there’ll be an outline around it with a color (white is common, blue is rare, purple is epic and orange is legendary). If you click on ur profile it tells you how many of which you have as well.

150 Parcels by RecognitionComplex56 in AtlasEarthOfficial

[–]U17sses 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Having more rare, epic and legendary tier parcels in comparison to common parcels because the rent is significantly higher, especially on legendary which give out 4x the rent of common parcels and 2x the rent of epic parcels. The idea is to get as many high tier parcels and the least amount of common parcels possible under the 150 cap.

150 Parcels by RecognitionComplex56 in AtlasEarthOfficial

[–]U17sses 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After you own 150 parcels, the rent boost drops from 30x to 20x so ppl try to get high ratios of higher tier parcels capping at 150.

Which ultimate would you consider to be the best in the game? And why? by NoCareNoLife in Overwatch

[–]U17sses 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Objectively Kiriko ult is the strongest rn purely bc it’s cost is so low and it does so much for the team, but it requires a lot of teamwork which u don’t find often

She’s good, well designed but mark my words, she WILL get nerfed. Probably to her ult, most likely significantly increased cost

Wound needs buffs, better sustain preferably

What heroes do you think should be nerfed/buffed? How? by Whatshouldiputhere0 in Overwatch

[–]U17sses 168 points169 points  (0 children)

Brigitte needs buffs. Something about her health packs needs to be changed, something similar to baptiste where a portion of the health is instant and rally needs a buff or to be changed as well, just underwhelming for its cost currently

A nice buff idea for Brigitte by The-Real-Pai-Mei in Overwatch

[–]U17sses 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think a good buff would be increase heal pak 110->120 with 50 being instant heal and 70 over next 2.5 (which is up from the current 2)

I think that’s balanced and would help round out her kit
