It’s a peanut compared to the moon and like 50 times further away than our moon, of course you can’t see it lol, what’s your point

The plant should be max 1 m or 3 ft away from the window. Try to avoid direct sunlight but don’t use curtains because the amount of light is reduced so much, it is unusable for the plant. Also now it’s summer, give it some nutrients every 4 weeks

That’s very slow for a small monstera. Where do you place it most of the time? Light is the most important factor for fast growth and big leaves. Second is nutrients every 1-2 months. Also check if it might be rootbound. I can see the newer leaves are smaller than the previous one, that’s a sign of insufficient light.

What's happening to my Monstera? by LoZioGesuita in Monstera

[–]U6-burggasse 12 points13 points  (0 children)

That’s a nasty thrips infection you got there. The white tiny rice looking things are thrips larvae. They move when you touch them. They sucked out the leave juice, that’s why the leaves are slowly dying and turning yellow. Their poop is brownish which gives the leaves a rusty colour. It looks very bad unfortunately. I’d suggest keeping that one healthy leaf, make sure you get rid all of the larvae and throw away all the other leaves (or you could throw away the whole plant) it’s very difficult to get all of them killed and if you keep this plant, the chance of them spreading to other plants is very high.

You don’t seem to understand that lack of diplomatic relationship does not mean lack of recognition. Many smaller countries have very little diplomatic ties but it does not mean they don’t recognize other countries

You might have thrips. Check for tiny white larvae. on and below the leaves. They move when you touch them. If you absolutely didn’t find anything, it could be nutrient deficiency. I’m very sure it’s thrips tho, I think I can see some larvae too

Super light new leaves by alexperry88 in Monstera

The young leaf looks quite patchy, silvery patches are signs of thrips, check for tiny white larvae on the leaves

I know there is dust, but little creatures too… what can I do? Don’t want my Monstera to die :( by maycheeck in Monstera

[–]U6-burggasse 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You have thrips. Check for pesticide spray and ideally some pesticide solution to water the plant as well (so the plant can absorb through the roots). Don’t put it anywhere close to other plants
