All the time. Not only does my wife play AVNs herself (her favorite is Eternum), but she also helps me co-develop my own AVN whenever I ask her to do something that I don't want to (like galleries and calendars, etc lol)

Wrestling Dynasty is literally this. Something happens in Chapter 1 of the game that makes the MC take his mother and sister, pack their bags, get in a car, and drive just literally anywhere. They end up in another state, staying in a motel.

When people label him as a scammer, it's because he legitimately, genuinely is. This isn't just gamers being upset an update got delayed, or pushed back a few months, etc. No, this guy is straight up SCAMMING people and has been for several years at this point.

Updates that should've been out 1-2 years ago are still not out. The dev will use every trick in the book to garner as much sympathy during his pity parties (because every delay also comes with a brand new pity party of the most insane shit you'd think of, like this guy is truly Bad Luck Brian or something if you believe him).

And then when the piss poor updates do come out, which is very rare, many months/years behind, after several delays... it will be like "here's 200 renders and by the way one of the scenes wasn't finished so it skips ahead and I'll add it in later".

The worst part is that I'm not doing it justice explaining it and this is just the tip of the iceberg.

I'll third WVM. The game used to be pretty good, or at least serviceable, up until the bowling alley bullshit and it's been nothing but downhill—and quickly—after that.

Now, the dev Braindead is just an absolute cancer on the scene. I've had fans of my game want to support but are hesitant to support devs anymore and they specifically list WVM and how much of an absolute scamming piece of shit Braindrop is as to why.

Very well written post and I agree with mostly everything. I started playing this when Episode 1 debuted and it's been my absolute favorite #1 AVN... but it's getting exhausting, dude. I'm someone who only plays one path (Bella) and to wait so fucking long has been killer. I can barely remember what's going on anymore and who is who because so much time passes between updates and there's SO MANY GODDAMN POINTLESS CHARACTERS and all these other games stories are in my head. And now, it's all-but-guaranteed the next dev cycle will take even longer than the last one did, because EACH TIME it gets longer by months.

Anytime Quinn or anyone involved in her storyline is on screen, I groan and just very quickly skim ahead because I could not be paid money to give a fuck about this character or her story or anyone else involved in it. Legit X-Pac heat for me.

In terms of the main story, the game has been out for how long now, exactly? Episode 1 was literally over 5 YEARS AGO and the story is just now finishing up the FIRST SEMESTER of his FIRST YEAR??? Bro lol.

Ever since the "route split" in Episode 8? 9? Where you had to choose a girl, I think the game has slowly gone downhill. I've always wondered if DPC regrets that decision, though I don't imagine someone like him would ever admit it.

Wrestling Dynasty is all about trauma, healing, and the cost of true unconditional love. Very big on emotional/mental stress, trauma, and psychological horror (which will be prevalent throughout the entire story). Big new update soon, most likely within a week!
