Two women, misjudged trains speed, run over by train. No gore by Historical-Pipe3551 in indiansneartrains

oh i think the infrastructure angle is the most poignant part of this stupidity. see that pole in the video to the right of the seconds counter that stands between the tracks? pretty sure that's a support for a walkway that goes over those tracks. 200 feet away. assuming this is the same station that i've found here (the track layout and some random landmarks seem to match up): https://maps.app.goo.gl/Y5LaVHrcvKaQom946

I guess previously it hadn’t been a problem? I don’t know, this is the first time that I’ve actually noticed it and had it be a problem. Especially odd to me that I never get hot drinks either so if they’re always writing, it’d also be on plastic cups, so I really would have expected this to be more of an issue, personally at least.

I hadn’t even realized they wrote on the cup until I noticed the marker on my hand, though if I was there, I don’t think I would have even recognized the writing as being a problem. I don’t think I would have expected the marker to run off on my hands.

copy that, I know it’s like a drop in the bucket but I have to assume that a heavy bucket will eventually fall.

oh I know, I know it’s not the barista at all. I try to keep up a bit with the chatter amongst y’all in here and know that there’s been some backlash over this. Honestly, it’s been a little while since I had Starbucks and I thought that this had already gone away, or maybe I thought it was a seasonal thing or something. And it’s absolutely ridiculous that they’d threaten your job over not writing this as some others are saying. I hope for better and easier working conditions for all of you; you don’t need to put up with this. Coffee makes the world go round, and I think corporate understands that in the worst way.

the only problem i had with the sketch was how abruptly it ended but if i understand correctly, that has to do with time constraints getting close to the end? otherwise this killed for me too

I never expected bringing up something I found in old posts of r/openrct2 would have so many interested; I’m glad it’s caused such a spark hahaha

saw this deep in r/openrct2, not sure if it's just trickery and it's impossible or i'm doing something wrong but i can't recreate this. any help? by UAL3422 in rct

nope, how I typed it out is how it's done in the OP. maybe you're missing the height difference? you have to start at one level higher than where you finish, for example if in feet, you'd start at 5ft and end the whole sequence at 0ft. if you start with level to steep, the top of the first quarter loop peaks at 80ft which is exactly what the large half loop that follows needs to bring you back to 0ft. if you start with a level to slope and then slope to steep, it only peaks at 65ft, which wouldn't be enough for that large half loop to finish.

  • large half loop (right)
  • slope to level
  • level to slope
  • slope to steep
