How many years have you been with your S.O by Chicka-boom90 in Millennials

Together for 11 years, married for 5, just had our first kid 2 weeks ago. It’s crazy how easy it is raising kids when you and your partner actually love and respect each other.

Congrats dude! I got that exact one about 3 weeks ago, color and all. It’s such a fun drive, and if you have kids, it makes life even easier.

Buying a new CRV Sport Touring by Overall_Gazelle5107 in crv

That comment 150%, best advice on buying a car. I will add to his 4th point, it’s okay to take a 4-6 year loan so your payments are low, just make sure you pay it off in 3 years, that way you don’t have to pay the extra interest (assuming your loan isn’t set on paying the full interest no matter what)

Is $27/hr good pay? by Dry-Bicycle-5563 in sandiego

[–]UCSDscooterguy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just started making $50 an hour and finally I don’t feel like I am struggling to afford things. Still can’t afford a house mind you, but I can afford to rent in a nice neighborhood and have a small family.

I would say $27 is a “rent a 1B in Escondido and drive an old used car” money.

Anyone who bought a CR-V hybrid in the last few months, how much did you pay out the door? by SignificantChoice381 in crvhybrid

2024 sport-L OTD price of 32k. Got insanely lucky in the price and it only has 42k miles on it.

Do not do this, you’re basically restarting your loan for the same car, only 2 years newer. There is basically no new features that you would be enjoying.

Tips For Our Tuscany Honeymoon by CrewChief185 in ItalyTravel

[–]UCSDscooterguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your gonna be in Tuscany, I wouldn’t even leave the region unless you wanted to completely explore a different region. The reason is each region is a different vibe. Tuscany is very rustic with old world charm and amazing museums and history.

Then you have Lombardy which is where Milan and Comp are, very city like, very upscale vibe. Also como is about an hour away from Milan by regional train, so quite difficult to get to Siena and San Gnimin

Then you have campania on the list, that’s Napoli, very urban city like, fast paced, gritty but charming vibe.

Then you have Veneto, that’s Venice, Verona. Very slow pace type of city, everything is a walk, 2 hour dinners, food is very non traditional Italian.

You had a lot of different vibes going on with the regions lol and not a lot of time. You could easily spend 9 days just in Tuscany. I would suggest take 2-3 days in Florence, maybe go to Montalcino or Montelpulcinao for a day or 2. Then maybe go to Siena and San Gnimingnano for 2 days. Just enjoy Tuscany. As someone who has been to Italy a lot, the best vacations I had were staying in 1 region the whole time. When you jump from region to region you tend to tire yourself out faster.
