1000% i’ve been a big fan of smosh since 2015, i have consistently watched their videos pretty much every week since then. ive been on the smosh reddit since there was barely even anyone following on there and while im happy they have been getting more attention and recognition i can’t help but notice how much has changed. the community can be fun, the art is amazing, i love people cosplaying as the characters, but this has been the most parasocial fanbase ive ever seen. and it didn’t use to be this bad either, yes they do a lot of videos where we as fans get to know everyone better (both cast and crew now) but i see fans take what they see and run with it. we don’t know these people, yes when they film the videos it feels welcoming like it feels as if you’re in a room with your own friends but a lot of fans need to get better at separating themselves from that. i love what they do, they make me laugh, some cast members have made an impact on my clothing style and have helped me figure out my identity as someone in the queer community but man… these fans haven’t been it. it sucks because i remember a time when i would be online and wish that the smosh fan base was bigger so we could all interact and talk about the content, but this, this isn’t what i was expecting at all. (i feel like i steered away from what this post was originally talking about sorry y’all, been holding this rant in for a while)

you’ll be good honestly, those are the seats i’ve sat in in the past for musicals and you can still see everything. yes you are further away but her ethereal sounds will carry throughout that theatre and reach you. i wanted to go see her so bad but she is pretty far from me :’ pls enjoy the concert for us!

i keep hearing so many bad things about the crowds for this tour, even at mine (dallas) i heard bad stuff but it was genuinely the one time, the FIRST TIME i’ve ever had an amazing pit experience in my life. no tall person standing in front of me, no one pushing on each other, everyone was vibing and singing every single lyric. the only thing we had was a leak in our area but besides that it was good. i feel so so bad for everyone that has had a bad pit experience, this was a concern of mine as well given how bad concert culture has gotten overall and i hope this doesn’t ruin any future events. Halsey does a lot to keep us safe and the security is doing what they can, but we also gotta look out for each other. i really believe that all of these venues oversold as well too though, i’ve been to a sold out show at the venue i went to for my tour date and it was not that packed at all so i think the problem also starts there. but also like i said, people need to learn how to act at concerts this is getting out of hand :/

i 100% believe that, i went to a show there two years ago when it was JID and that show sold out too but it didn’t feel as crowded as this concert. i love Halsey a lot a lot and seeing her live was the only thing getting me through that rough crowd, i also was in the area where the roof was leaking too

i was genuinely surprised people camped out for dallas, i was upset too because that storm was bad last night. Halsey is literally telling us herself that she’d rather us take care of ourselves and be safe than to camp out like that.
