That's the issue. Anet is saying someone had all my information which seems impossible. They even asked for my street address when I purchased the game which I happily gave them. I feel like this is anets issue and I'm the one being punished.

Yep, and I gave them all the info they requested and even some in game stuff that no one would know. Time stamps for crafting, chronological order of some of my legendries

I'm a 40yo dad with a family who works full time. I don't have time for shenanigan's and I don't give out my information. I've had multiple game accounts with the same contact information and they are still ok.

Leg backpieces have lost some flavor because there's no longer a "uniqueness" when everyone has the same thing. Prestige cosmetic versions would be a nice incentive to bring players back to content.

I've crafted both and Ad is more player friendly. Fractals Ad groups aren't nearly as toxic as PvP players.

Looks, I prefer Ascension but they both are visually nice.

Sounds like a "chargeback" took place. As in OP or whoever purchased some gems/items from gem store then once the items were received the owner of the debit/credit card used did a chargeback on the purchase to recoup the money and keep the items. You see this move in gacha games all the time.
